Store Editor

The Store Editor lets you control exactly what your viewers can buy from the in-game store.

You can:

  • Turn items on or off
  • Change how much they cost
  • Limit how many a viewer can buy at once
  • Set rules for quality and research requirements
  • Work with items from the base game and every mod you have enabled

Tip: You must have a game loaded (a save file open) before the editor can see all the items.

🎯 Access Methods

Quick Access

  1. Menu Bar: Click RICS button → "Store Editor"
  2. Mod Settings: RICS Settings → Game Events & Cooldowns → "Store Editor" button

How to Use the Store Editor

Opening the Editor

  1. Load a save game.
  2. Click the RICS button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  3. Choose Store Editor.

You can also open it from Mod Settings → RICS → Game Events & Cooldowns tab.

Switching Views

  • Category View: Groups items by type (Weapons, Apparel, Food, etc.). Good for everyday editing.
  • Mod Source View: Groups by which mod the item comes from. Very useful if you have a big mod list.
  • Click the header on the left side to switch between "Categories" and "Mod Sources".

Finding Items

  • Use the Search bar at the top to type part of an item name (e.g. "rifle" or "medicine").
  • Click the Sort buttons to order by Name or Price.
  • Use the little arrows or the toggle to change sort direction or switch between sorting categories vs mod sources.

Editing Individual Items

Each item in the list has:

  • Checkbox on the left: Turn the item on/off for viewers.
  • Type checkboxes: Usable (can be used), Wearable (clothing), Equippable (weapons/tools).
  • Price box: Change the coin cost. Changes save automatically.
  • Quantity Limit: Set a max number a viewer can buy at once (or use the bulk presets below the list: 1 stack, 3 stacks, 5 stacks).
  • Click the item icon on the far left to see more details about the item.

Using Bulk Tools (Top Bar)

  • Reset All or per-category/mod: Put prices back to their default game value.
  • Enable / Disable menus: Quickly turn on or off groups of items (by category, by mod, or by type).
  • Quality & Research button: Open settings that control which quality levels (Awful to Legendary) viewers can buy, and whether research is required.
  • The gear icon and help icon give extra options and tips.

Backups and Saving

At the bottom of the window you have backup tools:

  • Save Backup: Makes a quick timestamped copy of your current store settings.
  • Load Backup: Loads the most recent backup.
  • Save As...: Save your store settings to a named file.
  • Load file: Load a previously saved store file.
  • Delete file: Remove a saved store file.
  • Close: Just closes the window (changes are already saved).

Changes save automatically as you make them. You don't need to click a big Save button.

💡 Best Practices & Tips

Quick Setup for New Streams

  1. Open the editor with a save loaded.
  2. Switch to Mod Source View and enable only the mods you want viewers to buy from.
  3. Switch back to Category View.
  4. Set quantity limits on very powerful or expensive items so one person can't buy everything.
  5. Start with default prices and adjust as you see what viewers actually buy.

Keeping the Economy Balanced

  • Put limits on legendary items and strong weapons.
  • Turn off overpowered or "cheaty" items from big mod lists.
  • Use the type filters (Usable / Wearable / Equippable) to quickly adjust whole groups.
  • Match prices to how fast viewers earn coins (see Economy Settings).

Performance Tips

  • Turn off items from mods you're not using.
  • Use the search bar when you have hundreds of items.
  • After adding a big new mod, go through and reset prices for the new items.

Tip: Everything saves automatically as you change it. Use the backup buttons at the bottom if you want to experiment safely.

Related Settings

  • Go to Economy Settings to change how fast viewers earn coins and what the currency is called.
  • Use Quality and Research Settings to control what quality levels are available and if research is needed.
  • The main Commands page has information about !buy and !pricecheck.
