feat(replay): praisonai replay view/export/rerun, record(), OTel and self-contained HTML export - #6011
Wrapper half of PraisonAI Replay: one local command to watch a run, plus recording, export and re-run. Nothing goes to a cloud service, and no account is needed.
praisonai replay view agents.yaml # run it and watch it live in the browser
praisonai replay view <run-id># replay a recorded run
praisonai replay flow agents.yaml --format mermaid
praisonai replay export<run-id> --format html|json|mermaid|otel [-o FILE] [--no-redact]
praisonai replay rerun <run-id> --from step:draft
YAML: save_replay: true records the run (the existing --save flag still works).
What changes
Area
Change
replay/recorder.py
record(run_id=None, *, live=False, meta=None, full_content=None) sets up the writer, the emitter and the session start/end events. It enters the SDK's run scope, so every event carries the run id. live=True flushes every event. It replaces three copies of the same setup block in praisonai_code/cli/legacy/praison_ai.py (reached through the wrapper bridge, so the C7 gate stays at 0), cli/legacy/workflow_commands.py and recipe/core.py. The recipe early-return paths no longer leave a trace open.
replay/storage.py
The traces directory honours PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR, then $PRAISON_HOME/traces, then ~/.praison/traces. This is the same rule as trace/last_run.py.
replay/export.py
JSON; a Mermaid sequence diagram; OTLP-JSON using the OpenTelemetry GenAI conventions (invoke_workflow, invoke_agent, chat, execute_tool, plus task/step/approval spans; offline, no OTel dependency); a self-contained HTML file that inlines aiui's renderer as module scripts, or falls back to a built-in table. Nothing loads from a CDN. Exports redact by default.
cli/commands/replay.py
flow --format mermaid, which also accepts a YAML file. A team YAML's map uses the ids its run emits: it is built through the adapter's own builders, with no LLM call. New commands: view [RUN|JSONL|YAML] [--live] [--port] [--host] (warns on a non-loopback host; prints an install hint if aiui is missing), export and rerun.
ui_replay/default_app.py
aiui preset that opens straight to the Replay page.
replay/rerun.py
Re-run from a node. AgentFlow: a TraceStepCache built on the existing StepCacheProtocol, so earlier steps are reused and not re-billed. AgentTeam: the existing task-state restore, then the tasks from that node onward are reset. The new run records forked_from. Old 1.0 traces and truncated outputs fail with a clear error.
Tests
tests/unit/replay (new tests: storage/record, export, CLI, rerun) passes on its own (111 passed, 3 skipped). The 3 skipped tests need the core PR's schema 1.1.
Combined with the core PR: 149 passed, together with test_c5_backward_compat.py.
Compared by test id against main on the CLI and C5 shards, related wrapper tests and praisonai-codetests/unit: no new failures.
Real end-to-end checks with gpt-4o-mini, on top of the core PR:
a recorded team plus a hand-off: 29/29 events have the run id;
exports: HTML 44 KB with 0 external references and no key leaks, and OTLP with 14 spans;
re-run from step 2: step 1 comes back cached, step 2 re-runs, and the run makes 1 LLM call instead of 2, with forked_from set;
a team YAML run's node ids all appear on its static map;
replay view serves the run in the browser.
The gated real agentic test (test_replay_real_agentic.py) passes.
- Traces live in PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR, else $PRAISON_HOME/traces (the
root trace/last_run.py already uses), else ~/.praison/traces.
- praisonai.replay.record(run_id=None, *, live=False, meta=None,
full_content=None) owns writer + emitter + set_context_emitter and the
session_start/session_end pair; live=True flushes every event
(buffer_size=1). It yields .run_id / .path.
- The three duplicated setup blocks (legacy praison_ai.py via the
wrapper bridge, workflow run, recipe core) now use it. Recipe early
returns (not found / missing deps / policy denied / dry run) used to
leave the trace open and the emitter set; they now always close.
- save_replay: true in agents.yaml / workflow YAML records like --save
(added to YAMLConfig, schema artefact regenerated). YAML runs store
yaml_path in session_start so a rerun can find the definition.
- events.py: tolerant raw-dict reader (partial last line, unknown event
types, schema 1.0 and 1.1) plus start/end span pairing.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
praisonai.replay.export, stdlib only:
- to_json: {schema, run_id, graph, events}.
- to_mermaid: sequenceDiagram with lanes You / Manager / one per agent;
messages are task boundaries, hand-offs/delegations and approvals
(1.0 traces fall back to agent start/end).
- to_otlp_json: offline OTLP/JSON with OTel GenAI semconv
(invoke_workflow / invoke_agent / chat / execute_tool, INTERNAL
task/step/approval spans), traceId = sha256(run_id)[:32],
spanId = sha256(run_id:start_seq)[:16], parents from parent_seq or
nesting; scope marked gen_ai.semconv.stability=development.
- to_html: self-contained page, no CDN. Inlines aiui's standalone
replay-core.js + replay.js when aiui ships them (detected at runtime),
always includes a plain table timeline; embedded JSON escapes every
"<" so event data cannot close the script.
- Everything is redacted by default (praisonaiagents.trace.redact key
rules + scrub_pii_text), keeping numeric token counters; redact=False
opts out.

…graph
- replay flow <run|yaml> --format ascii|json|mermaid: a YAML file gives
the static graph (diagram.to_graph / graph_to_mermaid when the SDK has
them, else AgentFlow.to_mermaid()); a run gives the sequence diagram.
Existing ascii/json output for runs is unchanged.
- replay view [RUN|JSONL|YAML] [--live] [--port 8090] [--host 127.0.0.1]
launches aiui with the new praisonai/ui_replay preset (pages=["replay"])
and opens http://127.0.0.1:<port>/#/replay?run=<id>. A YAML file is run
recorded live in a background thread while serving; a JSONL path
serves its own directory (PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR for the server). Warns
on a non-loopback host, fails with the pip install "praisonai[ui]"
hint when aiui is missing, and stops the server on exit/SIGTERM.
- replay export RUN --format html|json|mermaid|otel [-o FILE]
[--no-redact].
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
replay rerun RUN --from NODE_ID [--file YAML]; Python:
praisonai.replay.rerun.rerun(flow_or_team, run, node_id).
- plan_rerun reads the recording: outputs of every task/step that
finished before NODE started (completed/cached). A preview cut at 500
chars is recovered from the span's last llm_response, otherwise the
rerun refuses rather than feed the next node a truncated input. 1.0
traces (no node_id) and unknown nodes fail with a clear message.
- AgentFlow: TraceStepCache implements StepCacheProtocol and serves the
recorded outputs through the flow's own cache-hit path (variables,
previous_output, callbacks), identifying the asking step by the
"running" status the flow sets just before the lookup; set() is a
no-op so NODE onwards always executes.
- AgentTeam: the team's checkpoint restore (_restore_serialised_task_state)
marks earlier tasks completed with their recorded output; tasks from
NODE on are reset to "not started".
- YAML runs: a zero-cost ContextVar hook (replay/_hook.py) seeds the
team/flow AgentsGenerator builds; the CLI checks the YAML kind first so
a mismatch is refused before any LLM call.
- The new run records forked_from = {run_id, node_id} on session_start
and on its first workflow_start (sink wrapper, no core change needed).

RUN_REAL_KEY_TESTS=1 PRAISONAI_ALLOW_NETWORK=1 with OPENAI_API_KEY: one
gpt-4o-mini call under record(live=True), then replay export --format
html and --format otel on the recorded trace.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
record() passed run_id only to emitters that took it as an argument, and the
schema 1.1 emitter stamps it through a run scope instead, so events outside a
team or flow (session start/end, a single agent's hand-off) had no run_id.
record() now enters the SDK run scope for the whole recording; nested teams
and flows inherit it. Older SDKs without run scopes are unaffected.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
`replay flow team.yaml` built the static graph from the YAML flow conversion,
which gives step: node ids, while running the same YAML builds an AgentTeam
whose events carry task:/agent: ids, so live events never landed on the map.
Team YAMLs now go through the PraisonAI adapter's own builders (no LLM call);
flow YAMLs and older SDKs keep the previous path.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
plan_rerun only treated str as a trace path, so passing rec.path (a
pathlib.Path) straight from record() crashed with 'PosixPath is not iterable'.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
… table
aiui's replay-core.js and replay.js are ES modules (export statements). Inlined
as classic <script> elements they threw a SyntaxError, so an exported run only
ever showed the built-in fallback table. Inline them as module scripts.

This change adds shared replay recording across supported execution paths, trace loading and export, YAML graph and replay UI commands, and node-based reruns for AgentFlow and AgentTeam. YAML configuration can enable recording without the CLI save flag.
Changes: Replay recording and configuration
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Recording lifecycle and configuration src/praisonai/praisonai/replay/{recorder.py,storage.py}, src/praisonai/praisonai/config/{schema.py,agents.schema.json}, src/praisonai/praisonai/recipe/core.py, src/praisonai/praisonai/cli/legacy/workflow_commands.py, src/praisonai-code/praisonai_code/cli/legacy/praison_ai.py, src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/{conftest.py,test_replay_storage_record.py}
A shared recorder manages trace creation, session status, and cleanup. Configuration adds save_replay; recipe, workflow, and legacy-agent paths can record runs. Trace storage resolves from PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR, then PRAISON_HOME, then the default directory.
Trace inspection and reruns

Summary
Trace loading and export src/praisonai/praisonai/replay/{events.py,export.py,__init__.py}, src/praisonai/praisonai/cli/commands/replay.py, src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/{conftest.py,test_replay_export.py,test_replay_cli.py,test_replay_real_agentic.py}
Trace helpers load events and pair spans. Exporters provide JSON, Mermaid, OTLP-JSON, and HTML output with redaction enabled by default. The CLI exposes export formats, and tests cover trace compatibility and export behavior.
YAML graphs and replay UI src/praisonai/praisonai/replay/yaml_run.py, src/praisonai/praisonai/cli/commands/replay.py, src/praisonai/praisonai/ui_replay/*, src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/{conftest.py,test_replay_cli.py}
The flow command renders graphs from YAML definitions or traces. The view command launches the replay UI for existing traces or live YAML runs.
Node-based rerun planning and seeding src/praisonai/praisonai/replay/{rerun.py,_hook.py,yaml_run.py}, src/praisonai/praisonai/agents_generator.py, src/praisonai/praisonai/framework_adapters/praisonai_adapter.py, src/praisonai/praisonai/cli/commands/replay.py, src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/test_replay_rerun.py
Rerun planning validates a target and selects eligible earlier outputs. The implementation seeds AgentFlow caches or restores AgentTeam task results, then records the rerun with fork metadata.

Adds local replay recording, viewing, exports, and reruns that reuse earlier results.
The latest changes:
Agent and workflow runs can save local replay traces.
Replay commands show runs, draw workflow maps, and export trace files.
Reruns can start at a task or step and reuse earlier outputs.
The two unnumbered, resolved findings are addressed: shortened answers are rejected, and flow seeding checks that recorded steps still exist.

@claude You are the FINAL architecture reviewer. If the branch is under MervinPraison/PraisonAI (not a fork), you are able to make modifications to this branch and push directly. SCOPE: Review changes in this PR. Python SDK: praisonaiagents, praisonai. TypeScript SDK: src/praisonai-ts/. Do NOT modify src/praisonai-rust. Read ALL comments above from Gemini, Qodo, CodeRabbit, and Copilot carefully before responding.
MANDATORY READ (before reviewing):
Always read src/praisonai-agents/AGENTS.md
If this PR touches src/praisonai-ts/, also read src/praisonai-ts/AGENTS.md §2.1.2 (TS triage + PR review checklist)
Phase 1: Review per AGENTS.md
Protocol-driven: check heavy implementations vs core SDK
Backward compatible: ensure zero feature regressions
Performance: no hot-path regressions
SDK value: review in depth whether the change genuinely adds value to the SDK — never add features for the sake of adding them. It must strengthen the SDK (simpler, more user-friendly, robust, world-class, secure). If it does not clearly add value, request changes or recommend rejecting/closing rather than merging scope creep
Do not bloat the Agent class with additional params — only if absolutely required; we already support many params.
Repo routing: agent-callable tools → PraisonAI-Tools; lifecycle plugins → PraisonAI-Plugins; optional sandbox backends → PraisonAI-Plugins (praisonai.sandbox entry point) — request changes if wrongly added to praisonaiagents/
6b. External tool examples (examples/tools/external/**): If the diff is confined to that path, mark SDK value ❌ for monorepo merge — redirect the contributor to PraisonAI-Tools; do not Approve for merge unless the PR has the maintainer-accept-example label.
6c. New vendor *_tools.py in core (src/praisonai-agents/praisonaiagents/tools/): If the PR adds a new *_tools.py for a third-party API/SaaS/dataset (e.g. FXMacroData), mark Repo routing ❌ and SDK value ❌ — redirect to MervinPraison/PraisonAI-Tools. Do not Approve because legacy bundled tools (Tavily/Exa/You.com/etc.) already in core are not precedent for new vendor modules. Request changes or recommend closing unless the PR has maintainer-accept-core-tools.

7. For any VALID bugs or architectural flaws found by Gemini, CodeRabbit, Qodo, Copilot, or any other reviewer: implement the fix
8. Also independently identify and fix any gaps or issues you find in the changed code — do not rely only on prior reviewer feedback
9. Push all code fixes directly to THIS branch (do NOT create a new PR)

Phase 3: Final Verdict
11. Never Approve or write “Approve for merge” if any Phase 1 row is ❌, if rule 6b/6c applies, or if the change belongs in PraisonAI-Tools/PraisonAI-Plugins. Use Request changes, redirect to the external repo, and recommend closing the monorepo PR when routing is wrong.

Protocol-driven / no heavy impl in core
✅ All code is in the praisonai wrapper (replay/, cli/commands/replay.py, ui_replay/). It uses existing core protocols (StepCacheProtocol, the trace emitter, trace.redact) and adds nothing to praisonaiagents/.
Backward compatible
✅ save_replay is optional and --save still works. The rerun hook is a no-op unless a ContextVar is set.
Performance (hot path)
✅ A normal run pays one ContextVar lookup. Heavy imports are lazy.
SDK value
✅ One local recorder replaces three copies of the same setup block. View, export and rerun are local only, with no account or cloud service.
No Agent param bloat
✅ agent.py and Agent are untouched.
Repo routing
✅ This is a CLI/wrapper feature, not an agent tool or plugin.
I fixed all three Greptile P1 findings, which were valid:
Earlier step values disappear. When a step_end records variables, plan_rerun now keeps them (RerunPlan.variables) and TraceStepCache restores them on a cache hit, merged with the step's output variable. If a recording has no variables, the old behaviour is unchanged. The current core emitter does not write them yet.
Incomplete answers are reused._recover_output no longer accepts an llm_response that carries the emitter's head+tail marker (...[N chars, showing first/last portions]...). It raises RerunError instead.
Wrong flow runs fresh.seed_flow now checks that the target node and every reused node match a step in the flow before it installs the cache, the same way seed_team already does. The check also covers nested patterns and YAML _yaml_step_name. A mismatch raises RerunError, which the CLI reports as "Re-run failed" before the flow starts.
Files modified:
src/praisonai/praisonai/replay/rerun.py
src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/test_replay_rerun.py (3 new tests)
Tests:tests/unit/replay gives 111 passed, 3 skipped, 3 failed. The same 3 tests also fail without this commit: test_view_help (ANSI help output), test_agents_yaml_save_flag_records and test_agents_yaml_save_replay_key_records. In my environment they look like an installed-core/environment mismatch, but I have not confirmed that and they should be checked in CI. The core suite (praisonai-agents/tests -x) stopped at its first failure: fastapi is not installed (optional dependency). Core is not changed by this PR.
Skipped: I made no changes to conftest.py, manifests or CI, and no changes beyond the three findings.

1
Scope
✅ Every file serves the replay feature.
2
Network
⚠️replay view starts a local aiui server. The default host is 127.0.0.1, but --host 0.0.0.0 would expose traces on the network if a user chooses it. A socket.create_connection probe only reaches the local server port, and webbrowser.open opens a fixed local URL. No external hosts or telemetry.
3
Code execution
⚠️subprocess.Popen in cli/commands/replay.py runs aiui run <bundled default_app.py> (or python -m praisonaiui.cli) as an argument list. No shell=True, and the path is the packaged app, not a user path. importlib.util.find_spec("praisonaiui") only checks whether the package is installed. A maintainer should confirm this is acceptable.
4
Secrets
✅ It reads PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR / PRAISON_HOME for the traces path only. os.environ.copy() is passed to the local child process. Exports redact by default.
5
Weakened controls
⚠️--no-redact / redact=False is an opt-in switch that turns redaction off. Redaction is on by default and the flag is documented. The run id is validated with SAFE_RUN_ID.
6
Supply chain
⚠️ The PR adds src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/conftest.py. I checked it: it holds only test fixtures (monkeypatch.setenv for a tmp traces dir and trace builders), with no imports beyond json/pathlib/pytest/types. It still needs a maintainer's sign-off. No manifest, lockfile or CI changes.
7
Obfuscation
✅ None found. No bidi or zero-width characters and no blobs.
8
Tests
✅ Tests were added, none were removed or loosened.
9
Backdoors
✅ None found.
10
Injection artifacts
✅ None found in code, comments or test data.
Phase 3: verdict
Request changes. I am not approving this for auto-merge. The architecture rows are all ✅ and the P1 bugs are fixed, but because the change has outsider origin, a maintainer must sign off on the new conftest.py and the subprocess.Popen launch of aiui (security items 3 and 6). The 3 test failures that predate this commit also need to be checked in CI.

Critical review first
Before changing code or tests, decide which side is wrong:
Legitimate feature change — the PR intent is correct but implementation or tests need updating. Preserve SDK guarantees; update tests only when behaviour intentionally changed and document why.
Regression / bug in this PR — the failure exposes a real breakage introduced here. Fix the implementation; do not weaken, skip, or delete tests just to go green.
Pre-existing flake or unrelated failure — say so explicitly; prefer fixing the root cause over masking it.
Rich forces colour under GITHUB_ACTIONS and splits '--live' with escape
codes, so the plain substring check failed on CI only.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Origin: outsider. This PR was built from content flagged as outsider (#6010, #6011). So the change is limited to one test file. I did not touch .github/, manifests, lockfiles, build files or conftest.py. I added no network, telemetry, credential, eval/exec, subprocess or dynamic-import code.
What was wrong
This is a test bug, not a bug in the CLI. Under GITHUB_ACTIONS, Rich forces colour output. The escape codes split --live inside the help panel, so the plain substring check failed only on CI. The help text itself is correct.
What I changed
src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/test_replay_cli.py: test_view_help now strips ANSI SGR codes before it checks --live, --port and --host. This uses the same regex as tests/unit/cli/test_examples_runner.py. The assertions are as strict as before.
How I checked it
With GITHUB_ACTIONS=true FORCE_COLOR=1, the old test fails. With the fix it passes.
tests/unit/replay: 114 passed, 3 skipped.
What I skipped
I made no other changes.
I did not run the full praisonai-agents suite, because this commit only touches a wrapper test.

subprocess.Popen in cli/commands/replay.py uses a fixed argv list with no shell: aiui run <bundled default_app.py> --port --host, or sys.executable -m praisonaiui.cli. The app path is the bundled file, not a path the user supplies. importlib.util.find_spec is only a check that praisonaiui is installed and imports nothing. I'm flagging this so a maintainer acknowledges the subprocess launch.
4
Secrets
The code reads PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR and PRAISON_HOME, which are only paths. os.environ.copy() passes the environment to the local aiui child process, which is normal for a local server. Exports are redacted by default, and tests check that api_key values are removed.
5
Weakened controls
--no-redact is an explicit opt-in and redaction stays on by default. The default host is 127.0.0.1.
6
Supply chain
The PR adds a new tests/unit/replay/conftest.py. It contains only fixtures (json, pathlib, pytest, types, writing trace files) and has no import-time side effects. Even so, a maintainer should eyeball it. No manifests, lockfiles or CI files are changed.
7
Obfuscation
None found. The only non-ASCII characters are emoji, …, → and · in display strings.
8
Tests
No tests were removed or skipped. The real-key test is gated on RUN_REAL_KEY_TESTS=1, as AGENTS.md §9.4 requires.
9
Backdoors
No hard-coded credentials. The sk-secret-value-… string is test data used to check redaction.
10
Injection artifacts
None found in code, comments or docs.
Verdict: I found nothing malicious. Because the origin is outsider, a maintainer should still sign off on the subprocess.Popen launch of aiui and on the new conftest.py before merge.

Phase 2: FIX Valid Issues
10. Comment a summary of exact files modified and what you skipped
12. Approve only when every Phase 1 row is ✅ (including Repo routing and SDK value) and blocking issues are resolved; otherwise request changes with clear action items
Final architecture review: PR #6011 (Origin: outsider)
Origin: outsider. This PR was built from content flagged as outsider (#6010, #6011), so I treated that content as untrusted data. This round's changes are limited to replay source and tests. I did not touch .github/, dependency manifests, lockfiles, build or install files, or conftest.py. I added no network endpoints, telemetry, credential handling, eval/exec, subprocess or dynamic imports.
Phase 1: AGENTS.md review
Check
Result
Protocol-driven / no heavy impl in core
✅ All code is in the praisonai wrapper (replay/, cli/commands/replay.py, ui_replay/). It reuses the core StepCacheProtocol and trace emitter, and praisonaiagents/ is unchanged.
Backward compatible
✅ save_replay is opt-in and --save still works. The rerun hook does nothing unless its ContextVar is set.
Performance (hot path)
✅ A normal run pays one ContextVar lookup. Heavy imports are lazy.
SDK value
✅ View, export and rerun are local only. One recorder replaces three copies of the same trace-setup block.
No Agent param bloat
✅ agent.py and Agent are unchanged.
Repo routing
✅ This is a CLI/wrapper feature, not an agent tool, plugin or sandbox backend.
CodeRabbit (Minor): the export default file name comes from the trace's run_id. A crafted run_id="../../x" writes the file outside ./.
Valid (path traversal from a shared trace)
cli/commands/replay.py: the default HTML name must match SAFE_RUN_ID. Otherwise it falls back to the trace file's stem, then to replay. An explicit -o is used as given.
CodeRabbit (Major): seed_flow accepts a flow whose steps are in a different order, so a step can run before its cached predecessor.
Valid, with a narrower fix
replay/rerun.py: new _check_flow_order rejects a flow whose top-level steps are out of the recorded order, before the cache is installed. It only applies to strictly sequential flows. If any step has next_steps/branch_condition, or any recorded node repeats (#2), the check is skipped, because AgentFlow can legitimately jump back to an earlier step there. A strict check would reject valid reruns of review loops.
Greptile's summary still lists "variables" because the core emitter does not record variables yet. Once it does, they are restored. Rejecting every current recording instead would make flow rerun unusable, so I left that as is.
src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/test_replay_cli.py: new test test_export_html_default_file_ignores_unsafe_trace_run_id
src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/test_replay_rerun.py: new test test_flow_rerun_rejects_reordered_flow, which also asserts that no step ran
Tests:tests/unit/replay gives 116 passed, 3 skipped. With the two source changes reverted, both new tests fail, so they check the fixes and would not pass without them. I did not run the full praisonai-agents core suite: this commit only touches wrapper code, and the CI shards cover it.

Check
Result
1
Scope
✅ Everything is replay/record/export/rerun, plus the three record-setup blocks it de-duplicates. This commit only fixes the two findings above.
2
Network
✅ socket.create_connection only probes the local aiui server on the user's --host/--port before webbrowser.open. No outbound URLs, webhooks or telemetry. The OTel export writes a file and does not post anything.
3
Code execution
⚠️subprocess.Popen(cmd, env=env) in cli/commands/replay.py launches aiui with a fixed argv and no shell, pointing at the bundled ui_replay/default_app.py. importlib.util.find_spec only checks whether aiui is installed. A maintainer should acknowledge this.
4
Secrets
✅ It reads only the path variables PRAISONAI_TRACES_DIR and PRAISON_HOME. os.environ.copy() goes only to the local aiui child process. Exports redact by default, and tests check this.
5
Weakened controls
✅ --no-redact is an explicit opt-in. The default host is 127.0.0.1, and a non-loopback host prints a warning. This commit adds two checks (export path, flow order).
6
Supply chain
⚠️ The PR adds tests/unit/replay/conftest.py. It contains only fixtures (json/pathlib/pytest, trace writers) and nothing runs at import time. A maintainer should look at it. No manifests, lockfiles or CI files are changed.
7
Obfuscation
✅ No encoded blobs or bidi/zero-width characters. The only non-ASCII characters are in display strings.
8
Tests
✅ No tests were removed or loosened. The real-key test is gated on RUN_REAL_KEY_TESTS=1.
9
Backdoors
✅ No hard-coded credentials. sk-… strings are redaction test data.
10
Injection artifacts
✅ None found.
Phase 3: verdict
Every Phase 1 row is ✅ and all valid reviewer findings are fixed. Approve from an architecture standpoint, but because the origin is outsider, a maintainer must sign off on the subprocess.Popen aiui launch (#3) and the new conftest.py (#6) before merge. CI on 3250b28 must also be green.

outsider-origin PR touches build/CI/dependency/Claude-config surface (src/praisonai/tests/unit/replay/conftest.py) — needs a maintainer's approving review on this commit

Maintainer sign-off on the two items in the FINAL review's security checklist. I checked both on head 3250b28:
Main #3subprocess.Popen aiui launch: the argv is fixed and there's no shell. It starts the bundled ui_replay/default_app.py, binds to 127.0.0.1 by default, and warns on a non-loopback host. This is intended for praisonai replay view. Accepted.
[FEATURE] Please add support for tools of langchain, crewai #6tests/unit/replay/conftest.py: fixtures only (json, pathlib, pytest trace builders). Nothing runs at import, and the fake sk-… key is there to test redaction (GitGuardian passed). Accepted.
Other checks:
the five reviewer-pushed commits have no network, exec, credential or unexpected file-write additions;
…nserted before the target
- core: step_end records the variables a step set (redacted), so a re-run can
restore them; before this, step_end carried none and the wrapper's restore
path had nothing to read from a real recording.
- wrapper: plan_rerun records which steps started before the target; seed_flow
refuses a flow that has an earlier step the recording never ran, instead of
silently feeding the target the wrong prefix.
Addresses review threads on MervinPraison#6011 (rerun.py:240, rerun.py:297).

Summary
Wrapper half of PraisonAI Replay: one local command to watch a run, plus recording, export and re-run. Nothing goes to a cloud service, and no account is needed.
YAML:

replay/recorder.pyrecord(run_id=None, *, live=False, meta=None, full_content=None)sets up the writer, the emitter and the session start/end events. It enters the SDK's run scope, so every event carries the run id.live=Trueflushes every event. It replaces three copies of the same setup block inpraisonai_code/cli/legacy/praison_ai.py(reached through the wrapper bridge, so the C7 gate stays at 0),cli/legacy/workflow_commands.pyandrecipe/core.py. Nothing loads from a CDN. Exports redact by default.cli/commands/replay.pyflow --format mermaid, which also accepts a YAML file. A team YAML's map uses the ids its run emits: it is built through the adapter's own builders, with no LLM call.
