Confidence flags

One confidence row per entry in the deterministic-checks table below carries the
envelope's confidence block. Low-confidence categories and IO are the first thing to
check in review.

Data review

  • Mode: fast runner (deterministic checks plus one consistency call per batch)
  • Auto-fixes applied: validation repair loop, at most two rounds per file, io lint fixes,
    never-ship copy stripped, consistency corrections
  • Remaining notes (INFO / un-auto-fixed): see the table below

data/hardware/death-by-audio-total-sonic-annihilation-2.yaml:1-60
🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Duplicate of death-by-audio-xcolorway-tonal-sonic-annihilation-2.yaml.

Both entries share the same name and content. They use different primaryCategory values (routing and looper). Merge them into one entry. The xcolorway entry's URL also reads tonal-sonic-annihilation-2, which suggests a typo in the maker's slug.

As per path instructions: "Flag if the same product might exist under a different slug/name".

`death-by-audio-xcolorway-tonal-sonic-annihilation-2.yaml` entry into one
product entry, combining applicable metadata and resolving the differing
`primaryCategory` values. Use the manufacturer’s `total-sonic-annihilation-2`
product URL rather than retaining the apparent `tonal-sonic-annihilation-2` slug

data/hardware/death-by-audio-disturbance.yaml: 1

36-43: CV out jack uses type: cv/gate; confirm this is intended.

Per the I/O conventions, CV jacks use category: audio. This is correct here. No change is needed.

data/hardware/death-by-audio-deep-animation.yaml: 1

13-13: 🎯 Functional Correctness

No duplicate entry is established.

DEEP ANIMATION is the only Death By Audio hardware entry with that product name or slug. The -copy suffix alone does not establish a duplicate or scrape artifact. No change is warranted for this concern.

data/hardware/death-by-audio-xcolorway-supersonic-fuzz-gun.yaml: 1

2-2: 🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration

The available evidence does not establish that this xcolorway is cosmetic-only. Both records share the same controls and specifications, but the xcolorway record has different categories, capabilities, and output type. The official product page does not document the finish, and the xcolorway page is unavailable. Moving it into variants would require assuming those differences are extraction errors.

data/hardware/death-by-audio-xcolorway-space-bender.yaml: 1

2-2: 🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration

The cosmetic-variant classification cannot be established.

The standard product page and manual do not document an Xcolorway edition, and the Xcolorway URL is unavailable. The shared controls and dimensions are not sufficient to prove that the finish is the only difference. Do not move this entry into variants without Xcolorway-specific product evidence.

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Output jacks use type: instrument.

Use type: line for Output L and Output R. Also, capabilities includes freeze, but the prose only describes a freeze effect from long gate times. Confirm that freeze is a supported operation.

each represent one physical TRS-capable jack: replace the separate Output L and

less for each jack.

Review comments at @data/hardware/death-by-audio-rooms.yaml:
- Line 25: Update the `io` list for the ROOMS hardware to define separate
entries for each physical input and output jack: left and right inputs and left

represent both stereo paths.

Review comments at @data/hardware/death-by-audio-xcolorway-echo-dream-2.yaml:
- Around line 1-2: Update the base Echo Dream 2 record to include xCOLORWAY as a
cosmetic variant with its slug, product URL, and description, then remove the
duplicate xCOLORWAY record. Keep the base record’s existing capability lists;
the duplicate’s omission of fuzz does not warrant a functional distinction.

- Line 18: Restructure the description scalar for the Echo Dream 2 so the
controls, power details, physical details, and sound samples are distinct
sections, using paragraph breaks and Markdown lists instead of flattened text.
Preserve the existing product information while matching the manufacturer’s

splitting the description, controls, and specifications into distinct Markdown
paragraphs, with blank lines between sections. Format the individual controls as
a list or separate paragraphs so the rendered content is readable.

retaining its existing category: audio and physical connection.

Review comments at @data/hardware/death-by-audio-exploding-head.yaml:

data: add the supported delay capability, describe its stereo/mono output
behavior, and specify the 9V DC 2.1 mm center-negative power input drawing 70
mA. Keep primaryCategory unchanged and avoid adding undocumented fields.

Review comments at @data/hardware/death-by-audio-fuzz-war-2.yaml:

the rendered Markdown is readable.

Review comments at @data/hardware/death-by-audio-micro-dream.yaml:

Model the Dream Station’s physical stereo jacks.

The manufacturer specifies one TRS stereo input and one TRS stereo output. This record instead presents Output L and Output R as separate physical jacks. A user planning connections from the catalog would expect two output sockets. Replace the two output entries with one output entry, and identify the input and output as TRS-capable without setting maxConnections above 1. (deathbyaudio.com)

As per path instructions, “Hardware I/O must model physical jacks one entry per jack” and maxConnections must not aggregate channels on a 1/4-inch jack.

Update the Dream Station I/O entries so the stereo input and output each
represent one physical TRS-capable jack: replace the separate Output L and
Output R entries with a single output entry, and keep maxConnections at 1 or
less for each jack.

SPACE REFLECTIONS ROOMS is a stereo, multi-function digital reverb capable of searing volume, gated walls of sound, and long, trailing reverberant ambiances with an intuitive array of controls designed with live mood-bending in mind. Over six meticulously programmed reverb algorithms; ROOM, DIGIT, PEAK, GATE, WAVE, and GONG. Each different verb is capable of a universe of sounds, and ROOMS is here to help you explore them. Algorithms 1 - ROOM A classic reverb that simulates many different rooms. FREQ: Tone of Decay DEPTH: Pre-Delay of Right Side 2 - DIGIT A delay and verb capable of creating otherworldly resonances and fractured repeats. FREQ: Delay Time DEPTH: Delay Feedback 3 - PEAK A super intense bandpass filter combined with an ambient reverb. FREQ: Filter Frequency DEPTH: Filter Resonance 4 - GATE A gated reverb. Short reverb times create a classic gate effect, long reverb times create a controllable freeze effect. FREQ: Decay Tone DEPTH: Gate Response Time 5 - WAVE Creates a pitch vibrato effect. Lowering TIME will blend out the reverb signal, allowing sweeps from chorus/vibrato to long modulated reverbs. FREQ: Modulation Speed DEPTH: Modulation Depth 6 - GONG Ethereal, crushed reverb sounds guaranteed to make you star in the upcoming remake of DUNE and live out your sci-fi fantasies of space travel and galactic domination. FREQ: Modulator Frequency DEPTH: Blends from Aliasing (left) to Ring Modulation (right) NOTE: Will sound most mellow when DEPTH is near the center. Controls Reverb Controls FREQ Controls the frequency parameter of the current mode. DEPTH Controls the depth parameter of the current mode. TIME Controls the reverb time in all modes. ALT Engages the ALT mode, switching between two sets of controls. When active, FREQ is controlled with the F knob, DEPTH with the D knob, and TIME with the T knob. The F and T settings can be controlled with an expression pedal as described below. Mixer Controls DRY Controls the volume of the dry signal, from -inf to +20 dB. FX Controls the volume of the reverb signal, from -inf to +20 dB. Expression Control/CV In Use any TRS expression pedal or 0-3.3 V control voltage to take control of the Time or Frequency setting while the pedal is in ALT mode. Using the "F ↔ T" Slider on the right side of the pedal, you can select the expression to control either the frequency or time control The small ALT control for the F or T control will now set the minimum value of the control. Set the corresponding knob all the way down for the full range of the knob to be controlled by the expression pedal. NOTE: The expression input is only active in ALT mode and will be deactivated when the ALT mode is off. Add the missing stereo input and output ports.

The io list defines only one audio input and one audio output. The ROOMS manual identifies separate IN L and IN R connections and describes routing to both outputs. Add one entry per physical input and output jack, with distinct names and keys. Otherwise, setup routing cannot represent the second stereo signal path. (shop.warwick.de)

As per path instructions, “Hardware I/O must model physical jacks one entry per jack.”

Update the `io` list for the ROOMS hardware to define separate entries for each
physical input and output jack: left and right inputs and left and right
outputs. Give every entry a distinct name and key so routing can represent both
stereo paths.

Consolidate xCOLORWAY Echo Dream 2 as a cosmetic variant.

Both records have identical I/O, controls, dimensions, power requirements, and product details. The xCOLORWAY record also describes fuzz but omits fuzz from its lists. That omission does not establish a functional difference.

Add the colorway to the base record and delete the duplicate record.

Merge this colorway into the Reverberation Machine entry.

The import adds separate entries for the same pedal. The xCOLORWAY record differs only by finish, so store it in the standard entry’s variants array instead of creating a second catalog identity.

Suggested fix
-Create `data/hardware/death-by-audio-xcolorway-reverberation-machine.yaml` as a separate entry.
+Add the xCOLORWAY finish to the `variants` array in `data/hardware/death-by-audio-reverberation-machine.yaml`.

Consolidate the Robot records and remove the broken xCOLORWAY URL.

The xCOLORWAY record repeats the Robot’s modes, capabilities, specifications, and physical jack layout. The repository also contains an existing Robot record with the same /products/robot URL. Keep one Robot entry and place the xCOLORWAY finish in variants. Reconcile the output declaration before merging: the new standard record uses type: line, while the xCOLORWAY and existing records use type: instrument. Both recorded product URLs return 404. Use the official Death By Audio homepage or another working official product URL.

Closing unmerged: this import duplicates the catalog.

main already carries Death By Audio twice. There are two manufacturer files with the same name and url: death-by-audio, which owns nothing, and deathbyaudio, which owns 30 entries (deathbyaudio-robot, deathbyaudio-fuzz-war, deathbyaudio-rooms and so on). This run imported as a greenfield under the empty slug, so roughly 30 of its 59 files are second copies of existing products. Preflight and W134 both key on the manufacturer slug, so neither could see the overlap.

What happens next:

  1. A catalog PR consolidates the two manufacturer slugs into one.
  2. A /catalog-import-merge refresh adds the products that are genuinely new (Deep Animation, Exploding Head, Phosphene Scream, Space Ensemble SE-1, Waveformer Destroyer, Soundwave Breakdown and others) and folds the xCOLORWAY editions into variants.

The CodeRabbit threads here weren't worked, because the files they point at won't land. The ones about new products will be re-checked on the merge PR.

The fast-runner gaps this run exposed are being fixed in racks:

  • The merch prefilter reading store tags, which deferred the gig bag and the DIY synth kit.
  • Colorway editions sold as separate products, which never fold into variants.
  • No check for a second manufacturer sharing the brand's url.
