Let users launch a coding agent with
sandbox create --ai codexusing their Vercel login to authorize a managed Gateway session key. Bare--aiprepares all four agents on the universal image; a custom image receives Gateway access without changes to its agent configuration. The SDK forwards
enableAiGateway. Agent configuration uses placeholder credentials; the backend injects the real key through the external firewall. Reconnect restores configuration, and successful setup prints the credential mode unless--silentis set. This layer always requests managed credentials and does not read local Gateway keys. The managed backend rollout is a release dependency. The intermediate CLI passes 273 tests and builds; those local checks do not establish deployed issuance or cleanup.
Split from vercel/sandbox#382. Managed backend: vercel/api#98665.
