🤖 AI-generated PR — Please review carefully.

Second of three stacked PRs for MPT-26825, on top of the ts-jest fix. No behaviour change.

What

Every agreement router test built its own autospecced APIContext and wired the two Marketplace services by hand. That setup moves into an api_context_factory fixture in the routers conftest.py, next to the service doubles it depends on, with agreement_id and vendor_external_id so the ids stop being repeated literals.

The tests take the agreement double from an agreement_in_mpt fixture, read the services back off the context as the schedule tests already do, and build the real Pagination and PaginatedCollection value objects instead of mocking them.

Tests

make check-all — 40 backend tests, 42 frontend tests.

Closes MPT-26825

  • Add shared api_context_factory, agreement_id, and vendor_external_id fixtures for agreement router tests.
  • Use real Pagination and PaginatedCollection objects to test pagination parameters and results.
  • Split agreement sync coverage into response-payload and vendor write-back tests.

Walkthrough

Router test fixtures now provide reusable API contexts and agreement identifiers. Agreement tests use these fixtures and check retrieval results, pagination values, and sync service calls.

Changes: Agreement router tests

Layer / File(s) Summary
Shared fixtures and agreement test coverage
backend/tests/routers/conftest.py, backend/tests/routers/test_agreements.py
Shared fixtures create API contexts with configurable pagination and provide agreement identifiers. Tests use these fixtures for retrieval and not-found cases, assert pagination totals and values, and check sync response data and service calls.

Priority: Low

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes

Merge Risk: Low · previous review d587a

The change is mergeable with a bounded test-coverage gap: restore the Marketplace lookup assertion to protect agreement retrieval from regressions.

Full details: Documentation Up To Date

Explanation

PASS. The pull request changes only backend test files: backend/tests/routers/conftest.py adds shared pytest fixtures, and backend/tests/routers/test_agreements.py reuses them and asserts existing router behavior. It does not change production modules, user-facing behavior, test scope, or developer workflow. Therefore, no documentation update is required under standards/documentation.md (commit 1f162898152a6fd72c6c4d32bdc4cc6bff935193, rules 3, 6–9).

Restore the Marketplace read call assertion.

The fixture returns the same agreement for every get_by_id argument. The payload assertion can therefore pass if get_agreement uses the wrong agreement ID or bypasses the read service. Restore the focused assertion removed by this change.

  • Shared fixtures should live in the narrowest applicable conftest.py; the routers-level fixture placement follows this guidance. [::softwareone-platform/mpt-extension-skills::standards/unittests.md:279-281]
  • Factory fixtures are recommended for centralized, reusable test-object construction. [::softwareone-platform/mpt-extension-skills::standards/unittests.md:345-377]
  • Tests should prefer real typed context/value objects over generic mocks, and injected mocks should use autospec. [::softwareone-platform/mpt-extension-skills::standards/unittests.md:389-405]
