MPT-26825 add a deferrable agreement sync example - #145
Adds the template's example of a deferrable API route.
POST /api/v2/agreements/sync serves both call modes from one handler. A plain call
syncs and answers with the agreement. A call with MPT-Async: true runs as a platform
Task: it reports progress while it sleeps, syncs at the end and returns a result
pointing at the agreement. The sleep is deliberate, so the Extension Service delivers
the same task again while the execution is still running — the redelivery an extension
has to tolerate. The agreement id travels in the body, because a deferrable route
cannot declare path parameters.
The agreement plug gets a "Sync in background" action that follows that Task on the
Marketplace API, polling GET /public/v1/system/tasks/{id} with the caller's token,
showing its status and progress, and resuming after a page reload.
Paths, intervals and shared test payloads move to frontend/src/shared/constants.ts
and frontend/src/shared/test-utils/agreement-mocks.ts.
ts-jest compiles each test file with its own program and drops the automatic
`@types/*` inclusion, so whichever suite jest compiles first fails to type-check
with "Cannot find name 'jest'". Declaring the globals in the transform's tsconfig
makes every suite compile whatever order jest runs them in.
The problem is latent in the template rather than new: any suite fails the same
way when it is the first one compiled. It surfaces now because jest's default
sequencer runs the largest test file first, and the deferrable example makes
`useAgreementSync.test.ts` that file.
The agreement sync API now accepts a request body and supports deferred execution. The frontend adds task polling, persistence, progress display, and separate direct and background sync actions.
Changes: Agreement sync
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Sync endpoint and task execution backend/mpt_extension_python_template/routers/api/agreement.py, backend/tests/routers/*, backend/tests/test_app.py, docs/architecture.md, docs/examples.md
The endpoint moves to POST /api/v2/agreements/sync and reads agreementId from a validated request body. Task-backed calls report progress and return a task reference. Tests and documentation describe the route, request validation, progress, and caller/vendor access.
The hook submits direct or deferred requests, stores and resumes task IDs, and polls task status. It handles completed, failed, and missing tasks, repeated polling failures, and unavailable local storage. Tests cover these behaviors.
The agreement view adds direct and background sync actions, task status and progress, and button states. Tests cover deferred task display, completion, and resuming a stored task after reload.
Switching agreements while a sync request is pending can show the wrong result or lose tracking of a background task. This is a narrow, fixable risk before merge.

Explanation
The PR changes the public agreement sync route from POST /api/v2/agreements/{agreement_id}/sync to POST /api/v2/agreements/sync with an agreementId request body and deferred-call support (backend/mpt_extension_python_template/routers/api/agreement.py:65-100). The PR updates docs/architecture.md and docs/examples.md, but it does not update the Postman collection. backend/docs/postman_collection.json:241-253 still documents the old path and has no request body. docs/examples.md:10-13 identifies that collection as the ready-made Postman example, so it is relevant documentation and remains stale.
Resolution
Update backend/docs/postman_collection.json in this PR. Document POST /api/v2/agreements/sync with a JSON body such as {"agreementId":"AGR-1234-1234-1234"}. Add the MPT-Async: true request header and deferred response details if the collection documents both call modes.

Every agreement router test built its own autospecced `APIContext` and wired the
two Marketplace services by hand. Move that into an `api_context_factory` fixture
in the routers `conftest.py`, next to the service doubles it depends on, and add
`agreement_id` and `vendor_external_id` so the ids stop being repeated literals.
Take the agreement double from an `agreement_in_mpt` fixture, read the services
back off the context as the schedule tests already do, and build the real
`Pagination` and `PaginatedCollection` value objects instead of mocking them.

Guard runSync state writes against an agreement switch during the request.
runSync closes over the agreementId of the render that started it. The later setState calls do not check whether the plug still shows that agreement. The reset effect at Line 112 does not cancel a request that is already in flight.
Trigger: the user starts a sync for agreement A, and useMPTContext then hands the plug agreement B without a remount. When the POST resolves, Line 224 sets status: 'requested' and taskId for A on the state of B. The polling effect then follows A's task under agreementId B. On completion it calls forgetTaskId(B), which removes any task stored for B. The direct branch at Lines 208-213 has the same problem and shows success for B.
Capture the current agreement in a ref. Skip the state writes when the request no longer belongs to it. Keep storeTaskId(agreementId, ...), so agreement A still resumes after a reload.
Proposed fix
-import { useCallback, useEffect, useState } from 'react';+import { useCallback, useEffect, useRef, useState } from 'react';
Based on learnings: flag async task loops that write results without validating against intervening state resets.

Turn the agreement sync into the template's example of a deferrable API route,
so an extension developer can see both call modes served by one handler.
`POST /api/v2/agreements/sync` takes the agreement id in the body, because a
deferrable route cannot declare path parameters, and declares the processing
budget its deferred branch needs. The body validator constrains that id to safe
id characters, since the API client does not escape path segments. A plain call
syncs and answers with the agreement. A call with `MPT-Async: true` runs as a
platform Task: it reports progress while it sleeps, syncs at the end and returns
a result pointing at the agreement. The sleep is deliberate, so the Extension
Service delivers the same task again while the execution is still running.
The agreement plug gets a "Sync in background" action that follows that Task on
the Marketplace API itself, polling `GET /public/v1/system/tasks/{id}` with the
caller's token and showing the task, its status and its progress. It follows a
task only while it is on screen: the state is bound to the agreement in context,
so a task followed for a previous agreement cannot carry over, and nothing is
remembered across a reload, since the Tasks API cannot be asked for the open task
of an agreement. Paths, intervals and test payloads shared by the hook and its
tests move to `shared/constants.ts` and `shared/test-utils/agreement-mocks.ts`.
Note that the plug can only read the Task once MPT-26417 ships in v5.10;
before that the Tasks API answers 403 to a client account.
The review findings raised here are addressed in #148, and the plug no longer keeps the task id in localStorage: it follows a task only while it is on screen, which docs/examples.md now states.
