Reviewers can keep the sidebar tree complete while the diff stays filtered. Matching entries stay in the tree, muted, and selecting one reveals the file.
Acceptance criteria
A switch in the General section and the menu's Hide in sidebar tree switch turn tree filtering on and off, and the menu describes each state.
With tree filtering off, the tree lists every file. Matching entries are muted, with an eye-off icon and a tooltip that names the rule, and the diff stays filtered.
Selecting a muted entry reveals the file as a direct link does.
The hidden count is the same with tree filtering on and off.
Built tree filtering off. The General switch and the menu's Hide in sidebar tree switch both turn tree filtering on and off, and the menu describes each state (Matching files leave the tree / The tree stays complete). With tree filtering off the tree lists every file; matching entries keep their place, muted, with an eye-off hint whose tooltip names the rule (Hidden in the diff by the Tests preset (**/*.spec.*). Select to show it temporarily.), while the diff stays filtered. Selecting a muted entry (pointer, or Enter on the focused tree item) reveals the file exactly like a direct link, with the notice and the Temporarily visible label; revealed entries show an eye hint. The hidden count is the same with tree filtering on and off.
The prototype renders the revealed eye hint in the muted color (its tree replica styles every tree icon), so the extension uses the muted color too to stay pixel-identical.
Tests:
End to end: 4 new tests (both switches and the menu copy, muted entries with hints and tooltip while the diff stays filtered, revealing by click and by Enter, hidden count unchanged).
Visual: hidden and revealed tree hints with their tooltips, in light and dark at zero different pixels.
