The hosted control plane has been retired (the platform repo is archived). This removes everything in this repo that existed only to talk to it.

Removed

  • pilotctl enterprise (adopt, status, dashboard-url, trust, policy, mandate, receipt, workflow, hook).
  • The governed-send path behind send-message / send-file --enterprise-control and --governed-resource. send-message already rejects unknown flags; send-file did not, so it now refuses these two explicitly instead of sending ungoverned.
  • The daemon's -enterprise-control flag, discovery of ~/.pilot/managed/enterprise-control.json, fleet reporting and commands (including remote restart/shutdown), rollout refresh, .pilot state sync, managed app reconcile and receipt export.
  • internal/enterprisecontrol, internal/managedsdk, cmd/control-agent.
  • install.sh --managed-url / PILOT_MANAGEMENT_URL / --no-start (synced from pilot-protocol/release).
  • The managed-runtime-v* tag trigger in release.yml.

Behaviour notes

  • A leftover ~/.pilot/managed/enterprise-control.json or enterprise_control config key is ignored; the daemon starts as an ordinary node.
  • -security-profile enterprise keeps its other locked settings but no longer requires -enterprise-control.
  • SIGHUP is still caught and ignored (it used to reload control state).
  • go.mod / go.sum are unchanged.

Verification

  • go build ./..., go vet ./cmd/... ./internal/..., go test ./cmd/... ./internal/... on a clean worktree of this commit with no go.work (module versions from go.mod).
  • go test -parallel 4 -count=1 ./pkg/... ./tests/ passes.
  • scripts/gen-cli-reference.sh shows no drift.
  • Two-daemon local run against a local rendezvous, compared with the same run on main: handshake, ping, send-message (ACK + inbox), send-file (identical bytes), retired flags refused, SIGHUP ignored, leftover attachment ignored.

The hosted control plane has been retired. Remove everything in this
repo that existed only to talk to it:

- pilotctl enterprise (adopt, status, dashboard-url, trust, policy,
mandate, receipt, workflow, hook) and the governed-send path behind
  send-message/send-file --enterprise-control / --governed-resource.
send-file now refuses those flags instead of ignoring them.
- The daemon's -enterprise-control flag, discovery of
  ~/.pilot/managed/enterprise-control.json, fleet reporting and
commands (including remote restart/shutdown), rollout refresh, state
sync, managed app reconcile and receipt export.
- internal/enterprisecontrol, internal/managedsdk, cmd/control-agent.
- install.sh --managed-url and the managed-runtime-v* release tag
  trigger.

-security-profile enterprise keeps its other locked settings but no
longer requires -enterprise-control. SIGHUP is still caught and
ignored.
