- layoutGraph lays out each family of documents joined by dependencies on its own and packs them onto one column grid: the OAuth family top left, then the narrow ones first into the column runs with the highest floor. The drawing goes from 2151 to 1385 units tall and fills its plate. - Hover intent on the map: a node takes the highlight once the pointer rests on it (90ms), leaving clears after 160ms unless another node is reached; focus acts at once. Nodes and lines fade together over --dur (M19). - The spine draw-in and halo are gone from the map; the spine stays bold. M4 now covers the decorative plate only; the accessibility statement, design doc, plan and tasks (R-12) are updated. Closing this as superseded. #76 merged into main while this PR was in progress. It covers the same three changes (packing the small dependency groups, hover intent with nodes fading together with their lines, and no spine draw-in), and it already includes the refreshed baselines. This branch now conflicts with main and adds nothing that #76 lacks. Generated by Claude Code |

What this changes
Three fixes to
/standards/, after review (R-12 inspecs/016-visual-redesign/tasks.md).layoutGraphlays out each family of documents joined by dependencies on its own and packs them onto one column grid. The OAuth family goes top left. The other families go into the columns whose floor (nodes plus the lines in the gap before them) is highest up, narrow ones first. Documents that stand alone stack by body. The drawing goes from 2151 to 1385 units tall (about 35% shorter) and now fills the plate. Within a family, a document still sits one column right of what it builds on. The caption says so.mouseenterandmouseleaverestyled every node and line. A pointer crossing the map switched the whole drawing on and off for each node it passed (22 switches in one sweep down the long column). Now a node takes the highlight when the pointer rests on it for 90 ms. Leaving clears after 160 ms, unless the pointer reaches another node first. Keyboard focus acts at once. Nodes and lines fade together over--dur(before, nodes snapped and lines faded). The same sweep now gives at most 2 switches. This is new motion row M19 indocs/design.mdand the plan, and it is in the accessibility statement. Before and after screenshots are in the project files under

pnpm checkpasses.standardsandstandards-greyscalebaselines need a refresh from CI's Chromium (please add therefresh-screenshotslabel). Locally, all non-screenshot standards tests pass, including the new sweep test (M19) and the static-spine test. The other suites only fail on screenshots (the local Chromium differs from CI's) and on some matrix tests that time out ondata-enhanced. A different set of matrix tests fails on each run, and the matrix code is untouched.Generated by Claude Code
