A canceled browser login can exit after its replacement has already succeeded. Both processes currently write exit-code.txt, so the old failure replaces the new success and Check Again reports that the successful login failed.

Keep exit results in files named for their process ID and read the result for the saved login. The delayed-cancellation regression uses the existing synthetic CLI and fails on 2edf907830ef2a3e68fe9612b57b289a9dcccb28, then passes with this fix.

This targets the branch for raycast/extensions#31877 and preserves the contributor's existing changes. Please integrate it into that PR for Raycast review and publication.

Validation: 135/135 tests pass, including compile-only AppleScript verification; distribution build, TypeScript, Raycast metadata validation, ESLint, Prettier, and git diff --check pass. Tests use synthetic data and never run the installed password CLI.

Prepared with Codex; submitted as a draft for human review.
