A directory (Genius Forges) has put our listing on hold until the site says who runs it. This PR names the operator on /about and /terms in all three languages. It also removes every place that presented Pi-Stack as a company or parent organization.

What changed

  • /about (EN/ES/HU): the "Who makes it" section is now "Who runs DebateOwl" and carries the operator text. The old "built by a student developer and made by Pi-Stack" line is gone, along with the matching pageHead.about.description meta description.
  • /terms (EN/ES/HU): a new "Operator" line sits under "Last updated": the operator's name, Hungary, publishing as Pi-Stack (pi-stack.org), and hello@debateowl.com. The terms date moves to 2 November 2026. Sections 1–11 are unchanged.
  • /press (EN/ES/HU): the Maker fact now gives the full name and says he publishes as Pi-Stack. The old wording was "published by Pi-Stack".
  • Organization JSON-LD (src/lib/seo/pages.ts, rendered on /, /about and /press): parentOrganization: Pi-Stack is replaced by founder: { "@type": "Person", name: "Ádám Gáborjáni", url: "https://pi-stack.org/", sameAs: ["https://github.com/Programcode"] }. No legalName. site.json swaps organization.parent for organization.operator.
  • Footer copyright (all locales): © 2026 Pi-Stack becomes © 2026 Ádám Gáborjáni (HU: Gáborjáni Ádám). A copyright line names a rights holder, so naming Pi-Stack there contradicted "not a legal entity".
  • llms.txt: one new "Who runs it" key fact, regenerated with python3 scripts/generate_seo_content.py. No other generated file changed.
  • scripts/check-site.mjs: the build check required parentOrganization with a name and url. It now requires founder to be a Person with a name and url (not listed in sameAs), and it fails if parentOrganization or legalName comes back. The check is just as strict, so this does not weaken it.

No phone number or street address appears anywhere.

Verification

  • npm run verify at the final head: all 9 steps passed (docs, jargon, typecheck, guards, lint, edge, build, smoke, sw-offline).
  • Read the rendered text from the prerendered dist/about/index.html and dist/terms/index.html.

Merge

Not low-risk under the repo rule, because it touches scripts/. Do not merge without Adam's OK.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Content Updates
    • Updated DebateOwl’s About, press, and footer information to identify its operator and explain the Pi-Stack publishing identity.
    • Added links to the operator’s publishing profile, GitHub, and email on relevant pages.
    • Updated the Terms of Service with operator and contact details, and changed its last-updated date to November 2, 2026.
    • Revised site descriptions and AI-readable key facts to reflect the updated operator information.

A directory put our listing on hold until the site says who runs it.
/about and /terms (EN, ES, HU) now name Ádám Gáborjáni as operator,
with Pi-Stack as the name he publishes under. The Organization JSON-LD
swaps parentOrganization: Pi-Stack for a founder Person, the footer
copyright names him, and llms.txt gains the same fact. check-site now
requires the founder and rejects parentOrganization or legalName.

Walkthrough

The organization identity changes from a parent organization to an operator and founder. Site pages, JSON-LD validation, localized attribution, and generated SEO content now use the operator details.

Changes: Operator identity

Layer / File(s) Summary
Operator configuration and founder metadata
src/config/site.json, src/lib/seo/pages.ts, scripts/check-site.mjs
Organization configuration now stores operator details. JSON-LD emits a founder Person, and site checks validate founder data while rejecting parentOrganization and legalName.
Page attribution
src/pages/AboutPage.tsx, src/pages/PressPage.tsx, src/pages/TermsPage.tsx, src/locales/*.json
About, Press, and Terms pages use the operator’s identity and links. English, Spanish, and Hungarian copy updates attribution and the Terms of Service date.
Generated SEO attribution
scripts/generate_seo_content.py, public/llms.txt
The generator adds operator details to the llms.txt key facts and changes the About description to say who runs DebateOwl.

Follow-up Comments

Outside diff Use explicit UTF-8 for all Python text I/O in the SEO and IndexNow workflows.

20-25: Minor · Stability & Availability · Quick win

Use explicit UTF-8 for all Python text I/O in the SEO and IndexNow workflows.

Path.read_text() and Path.write_text() use the locale encoding when no encoding is supplied. On a CP1252 locale, the new UTF-8 operator metadata can raise UnicodeDecodeError during the imported SEO module load. The generator can then produce no pages or llms.txt. The later localized reads and writes have the same defect, and IndexNow can fail while reading site.json.

Make all text reads and writes in the SEO and IndexNow workflows explicitly use
UTF-8, including module-level configuration and source reads, localized reads,
and generated-file writes. Update the Path.read_text() and Path.write_text()
calls in generate_seo_content.py, seo_cluster.py, seo_comparison_pages.py, and
indexnow_submit.py; include the reads in sitemap_urls() and the writes in main()
and write_comparison_pages().
