The signup form now lets a subscriber choose which updates they get. Each checkbox sends a
tagto Buttondown's embed endpoint, and Buttondown attaches it to the subscription. The pipeline addresses each feed's drafts to its tag.Closes #34
What changed
src/components/Signup.astro: below the email field, under "Release announcements, 2–4 a year, plus:", there are three checkboxes:weekly-scotus, on by default);ai-cases, marked starting later);ai-cases-predictions).Release announcements go to everyone and need no box. The form is still plain HTML with no JavaScript, and nothing loads from Buttondown before submit. The default heading is now "Get FedCourtsAI updates by email"; the Results pages keep their own release-specific heading. The checkboxes use the brand accent.
src/pages/privacy.mdx: says the chosen updates are stored as tags, what each update sends (the weekly one generated from the public ledger and read by a person before sending; the AI-cases one linking to public court records, with forecasts only if asked for), and how to change choices.Where to look on the preview: the home page signup,
/about,/results, and/privacy#email-updates.Checked:
npm ci && npm run buildpasses (12 pages). I rendered the form at desktop and phone widths and fixed what that showed: on a phone the "(starting later)" note had split into its own column, and the checkboxes had used the browser's default blue.Timing. Merge after the weekly update can actually send, i.e. once ModelMirrorAI/fedcourtsai#2477 is promoted to
mainand its first manual run produces a draft. Otherwise new subscribers would tick a box for an email that doesn't exist yet. The AI-cases boxes are labelled as starting later, so ticking them early is just a signal of interest (fedcourtsai #2452 is that feed). All three tags already exist in Buttondown and are subscriber-editable. The embed endpoint matches the tag values by name.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
