An experimental fantasy role-playing game where characters turn events in their world into musical theatre. Players can join generated musical scenes and influence what happens next.
Players choose an in-character intention, which the game expresses through a sung contribution that can affect the outcome. They remain free to move, interrupt or leave, with consequences appropriate to the situation.
The inhabitants treat singing with complete sincerity, as a normal part of life. The comedy comes from earnest motives, extravagant performances and emergent mishaps, with room for unexpectedly touching moments.
The project explores both the appeal of a musical RPG and how much GPT-6 Astra can realise from a loosely specified brief. A human producer sets the creative aim, tone and practical limits. Astra develops the creative and technical details through a build-run-observe-revise cycle, with the producer judging playable results and directing each iteration.
The initial concept exploration is complete. We are qualifying development tools and music-generation dependencies before the first playable musical encounter; there is no playable implementation yet.
