What does this PR do?

An operator runs in the adapter on the stored value. For an attribute with the encrypt filter that value is the ciphertext envelope, so stringReplace('a', 'o') rewrote the envelope itself ({"data":…} became {"doto":…}) and the value could no longer be decrypted.

Validator\Operator now refuses any operator on an attribute with the encrypt filter with Cannot apply <method> operator to encrypted attribute '<key>'. updateDocument(), updateDocuments() and the upserts throw Exception\Structure before anything is written. This matches the query validator, which already refuses filtering on an encrypted attribute.

Test Plan

  • New testOperatorEncryptedAttribute in OperatorTests. On main it fails against PostgreSQL 18 (no exception, and the row holds {"doto":"YmFuYW5h"}). With this change it passes on PostgreSQL, SQLite and Memory.
  • All 100 operator tests in PostgresTest pass, as do OperatorValidatorTest and OperatorTest.
  • Pint and PHPStan pass on the changed files.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Operators are now rejected when applied to attributes with encryption filters, with an error identifying the operator and attribute.

An operator runs in the adapter on the stored value, which for an
attribute with the encrypt filter is the ciphertext. A stringReplace
rewrote the envelope itself, so the value could no longer be decrypted.
The operator validator now refuses any operator on an encrypted
attribute, as the query validator already refuses filtering on one.

📝 Walkthrough

Operator validation now rejects operators on attributes with the encrypt filter. An end-to-end test checks that stringReplace raises a StructureException with an encrypted-attribute message.

Changes: Encrypted Attribute Operator Validation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Reject operators on encrypted attributes
src/Database/Validator/Operator.php, tests/e2e/Adapter/Scopes/OperatorTests.php
Validation rejects operators on attributes with the encrypt filter before other operator checks. The end-to-end test verifies rejection of stringReplace and checks the error message.

The encrypted-operator rejection is tested for single-document updates, but not bulk updates or upserts. The current paths share validation, making this a bounded, non-blocking regression-coverage risk.

Cover all encrypted-operator write entrypoints.

testOperatorEncryptedAttribute() calls only updateDocument(). updateDocuments() uses PartialStructure, while upsertDocument() and upsertDocuments() use the separate upsert path and Structure. Existing bulk and upsert tests use unencrypted attributes. A regression in one of these paths could write ciphertext without failing this test.

Add encrypted stringReplace cases for bulk update and both upsert methods.
