A Pascal user has written a package for Lazarus that I'd like to introduce here. It's already working quite well.
Maybe some of you have the interest and time to help me perfect the project.
The project can be found on GitHub:
Dockable Chat Window: Integrates seamlessly into the Lazarus layout.
Ollama Integration: Uses local LLMs (e.g. Llama3 or CodeLlama).
Code Extraction: Detects Pascal code in the AI response and allows adoption with a single click.
Context Support: Selected code in the editor can be sent directly to the chat.
"How about it" - it's an installable package, so anyone interested can just install it. Why would the IDE ship it by default?
Beyond that: the code and README are largely in a language I don't read, which makes it hard to judge. If it's meant for more than German speakers, it should be in English.
It coast time & energy to install such thing.
My first big program was written in Object Pascal for windows from Borland.
I'm newbie in Free Pascal / Lazarus IDE and guess thad I need some days for the installation.
I wold say, the IDE with AI integration could motivate the folk to install the IDE.
Just use the KI-hype for your product. ;-)

I could use Zed-Editor for AI coding. But there is no Lsp Server for Unleashed Pascal and there are no form editor.
BTW, AI intergration is a cool feature for marketing puposes - to get attention.

I know there is some work in the area of localisation yet.

if you have stress with the internationalisation of software than try out L10n.

Nicht jeder Entwickler ist über "KI" oder "Hype" begeistert... 😑

SpaceX Spent $60 Billion on a Code Editor. Let's build 'Cursor Light' for poor developer.
