  • sdk: Removed /v1 from the client baseURL. This will affect users who have used an override of the baseURL on the client.
  • models: Promoted the prior beta.models our of beta. The prior versions SDK methods and CLI commands have been removed.
  • endpoints: Promoted the prior beta.endpoints our of beta. The prior versions SDK methods and CLI commands have been removed.
  • cli: drop --remediation-id from remediations create (#656)
  • sdk: Removed the temporary beta clusters import shim.
  • sdk: Removed the temporary post training import shim. To use the Post Training SDK, the import path is:
    • from together.post_training or from together.post_training.tinker for the Tinker compatible SDK (#184)
  • chat.completions: Move chat completions to the faster https://api-inference.together.ai host.

This PR was generated with Release Please. See documentation.

Note

High Risk
Major version release documents widespread breaking SDK, CLI, URL, and import-path changes that will break existing integrations even though this diff is mostly versioning and changelog.

Overview
This Release Please PR ships together 3.0.0 by bumping the package version from 2.42.0 to 3.0.0 in pyproject.toml, src/together/_version.py, and .release-please-manifest.json.

It adds a new CHANGELOG.md whose 3.0.0 section documents the major breaking surface for this release: dropped deprecated SDK parameters and decommissioned APIs (including Code Interpreter), stable organization (no longer under beta), updated .whoami, removal of /v1 from the default client base URL, promotion of models and endpoints out of beta with legacy beta SDK/CLI paths removed, removal of temporary import shims (clusters, post-training → together.post_training), CLI removal of --remediation-id, and chat completions targeting https://api-inference.together.ai. Older release notes from 2.30.0 through 2.42.0 are included below that section.
