Motivation

PayeeProof provides payment-identity intelligence for AI agents immediately before autonomous machine payment. It checks whether a public machine endpoint, claimed service, requested resource, and public payment destination are internally consistent before the calling agent decides whether to proceed.

The submission branch is based on current upstream main at 7b59156326541ce58d7971e502e9df61625db11b. The changed-services bot has recognized exactly one addition: payeeproof. The current Vercel status is an upstream Tempo-team authorization gate for fork previews, not a service-schema failure.

Key design considerations

• Integration: First-party.
• Payment methods and intents: Stripe Machine Payments Protocol using STRIPE_PAYMENT, charge intent. The paid operation is POST /v1/payee/check at exactly $0.01 USD; capability discovery is free.
• Provider relationship: PayeeProof is owned and operated by Davisville Labs LLC.
• Directory fit: PayeeProof is a narrow pre-payment counterparty-consistency specialist. It does not authorize spending, perform KYC/AML/sanctions screening, verify legal identity, or guarantee delivery/refunds.
