BlockNote opens the math and diagram source popup from the selection even when the editor is not editable. Hide it unless the editor is explicitly editable, which also covers presentation mode. Signed-off-by: atharvasalunke1267 <245171056+atharvasalunke1267@users.noreply.github.com>

BlockNote opens the math and diagram source popup from the selection even when the editor is not editable. Hide it unless the editor is explicitly editable, which also covers presentation mode.
Purpose
Fixes #2894
In read-only and presentation modes, clicking an inline equation or a diagram
opens the source popup even though the doc can't be edited. BlockNote opens the
popup from the selection without checking
editor.isEditable, so a CSS rulekeyed on
contenteditable='false'is not enough: the presentation editor hasno
contenteditableattribute at all.Proposal
.bn-editor:not([contenteditable='true']) .bn-source-block-popup { display: none; }in
doc-editor/styles.tsx. This covers the public reader view andpresentation mode.
node still exist. A guard on
editor.isEditablein BlockNote would be thecleaner long-term fix, and I'm happy to rework this PR if maintainers
prefer that.
Tested locally: public reader view and presentation mode show no popup for the
inline equation, block equation and diagram; edit mode still opens all three.
Lint is left to CI (local
yarnpicks up the Windows install under WSL). Noe2e test added since the change is CSS-only; happy to add one if wanted.
Note: the issue also mentions diagrams, but before this change only the inline equation and block equations opened the popup for me; diagrams did not. The rule targets the shared popup class, so it covers all three.
