An implementation of the CoTracker 3 motion tracking model within Blender's motion tracking workflow for the sake of motion tracking the motion of objects in motion

Tutoriel:

Open a motion tracking panel

Navigate to the side panel in the Movie Clip Editor Editor. It will be listed as Co-Tracker3 (because fuck consistent naming am I right)

Infer

!IMPOTENT!

Tracking hapens much the same way it does using the default Blender workflow

The markers at the current frame are tracked forwards and backwards until they are no longer visible

Be sure to have at least one marker selected at the frame when you start inference. Because lord knows it will take like 2 minutes to find out there actually wasn't one

Preferably, use the built in "Detect Features" functionality to generate tracking points on the very same frame you plan to start inference on.

Given that CoTracker doesn't really care much for distinct features, it is best to set the Threshold to 0 and Disntace to like 90 to flood the image with tracking points

IF SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK:

Ask your LLM of choice to fix it. The code is right here.

Push your fix into the repo while you're at it
