RemuxForge prepares MKV files for your library. It does three jobs:
- Remux adds the dub or the subtitles of another release to the release you keep, and lines them up even when the two versions have different speeds or different cuts.
- Split cuts a file into episodes or parts, trims it, or joins parts into one file. Audio, subtitles and chapters follow every cut, and variable frame rate timing is preserved.
- Metadata sets titles, languages, flags and tags across a whole library with reusable presets, edits single files by hand, chapters included, and renames files in bulk. You see every change before it is written.
RemuxForge runs as a desktop app on Windows and macOS, as a WebUI in your browser, in Docker, and from the command line. Desktop and WebUI share the same interface, which this wiki describes.

- Deploy: download, install the helper tools, first start.
- Quick start: one short job in each mode.
- Interface overview: window, menus, shortcuts.

Configure (F2) → Scan (F5) → Analyze → Process
The wizard collects your choices, the scan lists the files, and the analysis shows what will happen to each one. Files are written only when you start processing, so every result can be checked first.
