Require agents to search the target repository's open, closed and merged issues/PRs before investigating or implementing a task. The guide requires reading discussion and actual code, reporting overlap, reusing relevant findings, linking issues and stating search limits. This rule is still absent from main; existing repository rules and guide anchors are preserved.

Earlier CI repair evidence
On the earlier documentation commit
cb262c62, the sanitizer job reclaimed all six audio buffers in order but expected six notifications and counted five. #1008 fixes that inherited test assumption by draining buffers after each notification.The full host ThreadSanitizer target passed on
a92de64fwith the existing sanitizer settings. The executable sources and CI configuration match those validated in #1008. The remaining differences are the original contributor-guide edits inAGENTS.mdanddocs/agents/06-dev-loop.md.
