When using Claude Code, the terminal snaps to the bottom every time Claude produces output — even if you're scrolled up reading history. This is a Claude Code issue (not a terminal issue). It happens in iTerm2, Ghostty, Kitty, and every other terminal because Claude's TUI framework actively repositions the cursor on every redraw.
cc wraps Claude Code in tmux, which decouples your scroll position from the application's cursor. Scroll up to read, Claude keeps writing underneath. Done reading? Press q to resume live output.
