PyO3 binding to the Rust Mode S/ADS-B/FLARM decoder in the jet1090 workspace, built per interpreter (not abi3). Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors upstream's wheels.yml linux/musllinux jobs (PyO3/maturin-action), checked out at the workspace root since python/ is a Cargo workspace member alongside crates/rs1090.

Differs from upstream

  • Builds only riscv64, cp312/cp313/cp314 - upstream's other architectures/interpreters are out of scope here
  • Adds license-files to python/pyproject.toml - maturin ships no licence text in the wheel at all otherwise, on any platform

Testing

  • same as upstream (uv run pytest under python/tests)

License: wheel currently ships no licence text on any platform; the patch adds the repo's MIT license.md.

Patches

  • 0001-python-ship-the-projects-mit-licence-in-the-wheel.patch - To upstream, not filed yet. Without it the wheel ships no licence file at all; reproduces on every platform, not riscv64-only.

CI running on cp312/cp313/cp314, manylinux and musllinux.

Aviation/ADS-B candidate distinct from the already-covered orbital-mechanics
and drone libraries: rs1090 is the PyO3 Python binding to xoolive/jet1090's
Rust Mode S/ADS-B/FLARM decoder, the maintained Rust-accelerated successor to
the Cython-accelerated pyModeS (which has itself dropped its own compiled
module in recent releases).

Mirrors upstream's own wheels.yml linux/musllinux jobs (PyO3/maturin-action,
built per interpreter since the module isn't abi3), checked out at the
monorepo's workspace root since python/ is a Cargo workspace member
alongside crates/rs1090. The python crate pulls in rs1090's default Cargo
features only, so the heavier optional aircraft/sdr/sero/ssh feature flags
(reqwest, rusqlite, tonic, ssh2) never enter this build.

Adds license-files to python/pyproject.toml: maturin ships no licence text
in the wheel at all today, on any platform, since the repo's own license.md
sits one directory above pyproject.toml's default search path.
