This repository complements the open access publication available entitled Fast droplet impact onto slowly moving deep pools, published in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics in June 2026.


📁 Repository Contents

  • DNS/ — Direct numerical simulation source code and driver scripts. Contains the Basilisk C implementation for drop-pool impact modeling, with configurable parameters for mesh resolution, drop velocity, pool depth, and simulation time. See DNS/README.md for setup and execution details.

  • figureData/ — Raw data and processed datasets used to generate figures in the publication. Includes simulation outputs, interface coordinates, and quantitative analysis results supporting the paper's findings.

  • movies/ — Supplementary animations from simulations and experiments. High-resolution visualizations of splashing dynamics across different impact conditions.
