Docs-only pull requests already skip the Mac, iPhone Duo, Android and release-tooling jobs, but merging them into dev triggered a push run that always ran full CI (for example the dev pushes for #127 and #133).

Change (.github/workflows/tests.yml, changes job only)

  • A push to dev that adds exactly one commit on top of the previous head (github.event.before == HEAD^1, i.e. a PR's merge or squash commit) is classified with the same rules as a PR, against that parent and using the parent's copy of classify_pr_paths.py.
  • Everything else still runs full CI: pushes to main and release/**, multi-commit or force pushes, a missing parent or classifier, and any non-docs path (unchanged fail-closed rules).

Checked locally

  • check-release-workflows.rb: fail-closed; classifier unit tests: OK; YAML parses.
  • Ran the step's script against real dev history: the docs(press): correct Window view pane limits #133 docs merge → docs_media_only=true; a multi-commit push, a main push and the classifier-introducing commit → full CI.

This PR edits a workflow, so its own run is full CI.
