Order clearer reads the order column or reverts - #2928
order-clearer() aliased base (0,0) (msg.sender), so it read a value in every entrypoint, including deposit, withdraw and entask tasks where nothing clears an order (#2647). In takeOrders4 and quote2 it read the taker or quoter, which is not a clearer.
Fix
calculateOrderIO(..., bool clearing). When clearing is true, the order column (1) is [hash, owner, counterparty, clearer]: CONTEXT_CALLING_CONTEXT_ROWS = 4, CONTEXT_CALLING_CONTEXT_ROW_ORDER_CLEARER = 3. Otherwise it keeps the 3 rows [hash, owner, counterparty].
clear3 passes true for both orders, and the clearer is msg.sender.
takeOrders4 and quote2 pass false.
order-clearer reads (1,3). It has a value only on the clear path; in take, quote and every other entrypoint it reverts out of bounds.
sender is a word of its own, reading base (0,0) in every entrypoint. The base table is sender plus raindex, defined by the CONTEXT_BASE_ROWS constants. The meta, the operand handler and the parser are updated to match.
Add and remove order tasks build their order column through LibRaindex.callingContextColumn(CONTEXT_CALLING_CONTEXT_COLUMN, [hash, owner]), so order-counterparty and order-clearer revert out of bounds there.
Every context word either reads one unambiguous value or reverts out of bounds. No two words alias one cell, and order-clearer never reads a non-clearer.
QA
Discriminating tests:
RaindexV6.contextWordEntrypoints.t.sol checks every word against every entrypoint: testCalculateOrderContextWords, testHandleIOContextWords, testClearCalculateContextWords, testClearHandleIOContextWords, testQuoteSender, testOrderEvalOrderHash and the deposit/withdraw/add/remove/entask tests.
order-clearer reads the clearer in clear3 calculate-io and handle-io, and reverts stdError.indexOOBError in take and quote.
sender reads msg.sender everywhere.
testCallingContextColumn and testCallingContextColumnClearing (calculateOrderIO harness) pin the 3-row and 4-row order column.
testRouteSender and testRouteOrderClearer pin the parser routes. testWordParsersPairwiseDistinct checks that no two words alias.
Not run on main. By construction they fail there: order-clearer reads (0,0) in every entrypoint and there is no sender word.
Mutations applied: none to report. The mutation run was abandoned before it finished, so this PR claims no mutation results.
Oracle: the values each test passes to the entrypoints (msg.sender via prank, order owner, counterparty, clearer, token, vault id, amounts), and LibOrder.hash of the order the test built. None of these come from the sub parser or LibRaindex.
calculate-io and handle-io fill the order column with
[hash, owner, counterparty, clearer]; add/remove order tasks fill
[hash, owner] only, so counterparty and clearer revert there. Nothing
reads base (0,0) any more.

The base context now exposes the Raindex word, while the order context adds an order-clearer row. Runtime context construction and parser routing use the revised layout. Tests cover context words across entrypoints and the updated parser tables.
Changes: Raindex context layout

Summary
Context rows and parser routing src/lib/LibRaindex.sol, src/lib/LibRaindexSubParser.sol, src/concrete/parser/RaindexV6SubParser.sol, test/util/fixture/LibRaindexSubParserContextFixture.sol, test/concrete/parser/RaindexV6SubParser.*.t.sol
The base context uses a single Raindex word, and the order context includes an order-clearer row. Parser registrations and authoring metadata use these rows. Parser tests check routing, table lengths, and pointer uniqueness.
Runtime context construction src/concrete/raindex/RaindexV6.sol, crates/test_fixtures/abis/RaindexV6*.json
Order post-task context uses the calling-context column. Calculate-order context adds msg.sender. Both ABI fixture bytecode payloads are replaced; ABI declarations remain unchanged.
Context words across entrypoints test/concrete/raindex/RaindexV6.contextWordEntrypoints.t.sol, test/util/lib/LibTestContextWords.sol
Tests check context words across deposit, withdraw, order, entask, and order-evaluation entrypoints. The shared test helper now returns 30 context words.
rainlanguage/raindex#2908 — The PR expands context-word tests across entrypoints, which overlaps with the issue’s context-word resolution area. The supplied summaries do not establish that it fixes signer or signed-context resolution outside order evaluation.
Possibly related PRs
rainlanguage/raindex.deploy#2926: This PR uses the context-column layout described as introduced by #2926 and retains separate deposit and withdraw columns.
The quote path currently supplies the clearer value, but its new context behavior lacks a direct test assertion. This is a bounded follow-up rather than a demonstrated runtime failure.

Add a positive quote2 assertion for order-clearer().
The positive order-evaluation check runs only through this.doTake(...). The this.doQuote(...) branch checks only words outside the asserted family, so it cannot detect a quote2 regression that omits or misassigns the fourth order-context row. No other inspected quote2 test asserts order-clearer(). Add a quote2 assertion that expects the test contract address, because quote2 receives the test contract as msg.sender.

calculateOrderIO takes a clearing flag: clear3 appends the clearer row to the
order column, takeOrders4 and quote2 omit it so order-clearer reverts out of
bounds there. The base table holds sender and raindex again, with sender
reading the entrypoint's msg.sender.

@coderabbitai assess this PR size classification for the totality of the PR with the following criterias and report it in your comment:
S/M/L PR Classification Guidelines:
This guide helps classify merged pull requests by effort and complexity rather than just line count. The goal is to assess the difficulty and scope of changes after they have been completed.
Small (S)
Characteristics:
Simple bug fixes, typos, or minor refactoring
Single-purpose changes affecting 1-2 files
Documentation updates
Configuration tweaks
Changes that require minimal context to review
Review Effort: Would have taken 5-10 minutes
Examples:
Fix typo in variable name
Update README with new instructions
Adjust configuration values
Simple one-line bug fixes
Import statement cleanup
Medium (M)
Characteristics:

Additional Factors to Consider
When deciding between sizes, also consider:
Test coverage impact: More comprehensive test changes lean toward larger classification
Risk level: Changes to critical systems bump up a size category
Team familiarity: Novel patterns or technologies increase complexity
Notes:
the assessment must be for the totality of the PR, that means comparing the base branch to the last commit of the PR
the assessment output must be exactly one of: S, M or L (single-line comment) in format of: SIZE={S/M/L}
do not include any additional text, only the size classification
your assessment comment must not include tips or additional sections
