I'm a Computer Science graduate with five years of experience, and the thing I've figured out about myself is that I'd rather own something properly than just work through a queue of tickets. Give me a problem nobody has fully scoped yet and I'm happy.
Most of my time has gone into building web and mobile products, currently fleet safety tools at Motive. React, Angular and React Native are where I've spent the most time, and I work just as comfortably on the backend, whether that's APIs, services, data or infrastructure. Full stack for me means owning the whole thing, frontend, backend, testing, releases and whatever else it takes to get it live.
The part I'm probably most useful at is the messy stuff. Working out why something is actually broken instead of guessing, going through data until the answer holds up, and pushing back when the obvious explanation doesn't fit. I like writing things down before building them, and I care about leaving things easier for whoever picks them up next.
I've led a team, rewritten a codebase on a deadline that shouldn't have been possible, and shipped things used by thousands of people. Always up for problems worth solving and teams worth joining.
