vitest 3+/vite 7 require Node ^20.19 || >=22.12, so the build (18.x) job fails with ERR_REQUIRE_ESM when devDependencies are bumped. Node 18 is EOL; the supported toolchain runs on Node 20/22. This unblocks the vitest 3.x Dependabot upgrade (#18) which fails only on the 18.x matrix leg. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Bumps vitest from 2.1.9 to 3.2.6. Also bumps the companion @vitest/coverage-v8 from ^2.0.0 to ^3.2.6 so the coverage provider matches the vitest 3 peer requirement (vitest 3 requires @vitest/coverage-v8 v3), keeping the coverage CI job green.
