homepage and probably other pages are not W3C validated

This report shows 2 errors and 2 warnings on the homepage.

The code should be adjusted so there are no errors or warnings. I would also accept no errors but still some warnings. This should be done for the homepage and all top level site pages. I mean the pages linked to from the main navigation not each blog post page.
