Support tickets from Oct 17 to 20 showed customers getting stuck on questions the docs don't answer. This adds the missing answers to existing pages.

What changed

  • Postgres FAQ: deleting a database created through Vercel (new). A customer couldn't find how to delete one. Our account-deletion page told them to email support, which led the support agent to the same wrong answer. The answer covers deleting in Vercel, exporting first, what happens to billing, and how to stop the plan fee.
  • Postgres FAQ: custom database roles (new). Explains that roles can't be created and shows the exact error customers see.
  • Postgres FAQ: Free-plan grace period. Says what happens when the 24 hours end and that the restore option doesn't come back. A customer took the missing button for a bug.
  • Switch from Accelerate guide: error 1102. Explains what P6000 / Cloudflare 1102 "Worker exceeded resource limits" means and what helps until you switch.
  • Account deletion (Console support page). For workspaces created from Vercel, points to uninstalling the integration and links the new FAQ answer.

Gaps closed: Vercel database deletion (2 threads), custom roles (1), grace period (1), Accelerate 1102 (1).

Open question for review: I couldn't verify the exact label of Vercel's delete control, so step 3 says "choose the option to delete the database". If you know the button text, please put it in.

Not touched (pre-existing text a cold reader also found unclear): the Accelerate guide's intro mentions "both replacement paths" before introducing them. The grace-period paragraph uses three names for the same quota. The account-deletion bullet's "transfer or remove it from the integration side" sentence.

Validation
  • Facts checked against pdp-control-plane@964a046de: the Vercel resource delete handler and the uninstall handler in services/marketplaces/vercel/index.ts, and the grace button logic in services/console-compute/app/components/HoldBanners.tsx. Also checked against Vercel's "Add a Native Integration" docs (Settings → delete product, Uninstall Integration).
  • pnpm lint:links: 0 errors.
  • check-plain.sh, check-ai-signs.sh, check-staccato.py: clean on all three pages.
  • docs-reader-review: 2 cold-reader rounds. Round 2's remaining marks are the open question above and the pre-existing text.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Expanded guidance for deleting integration-managed workspaces, including data export, database impact, and support options.
    • Added troubleshooting steps for P6000 errors, including switching connection methods and reducing query size.
    • Clarified Prisma Postgres limitations around custom roles and read-only access.
    • Documented Free-tier grace-period rules and procedures for deleting Vercel-created databases, including billing considerations.

Add FAQ answers for deleting a Vercel-created database and for custom
roles, say what happens after the Free-plan grace period ends, explain
Accelerate error 1102 in the switch guide, and point the account-deletion
page at the Vercel uninstall path.

Review details

Systems and components

  • observed — apps/docs (service) was modified; 3 changed files map to changed impact.

Before / after behavior

  • observed — Modified behavior in apps/docs/content/docs/console/more/support.mdx: The integration-managed workspace instructions now describe uninstalling the Vercel integration, deletion of its workspace and databases, data export, related FAQ steps, and support escalation; the previous generic support-only instruction was replaced.
  • observed — Modified behavior in apps/docs/content/docs/postgres/database/switch-from-accelerate.mdx: Documents the Accelerate-specific P6000/Cloudflare 1102 failure, identifies larger queries and results as increasing its likelihood, and recommends lowering take and removing unnecessary included relations until switching connections.
  • observed — Modified behavior in apps/docs/content/docs/postgres/faq.mdx: Added the custom-roles FAQ: role creation is unsupported and fails with ERROR: restricted superuser cannot create roles; read-only access must instead be enforced in the application, such as with Prisma ORM 8 middleware rejecting non-read queries.
  • observed — Modified behavior in apps/docs/content/docs/postgres/faq.mdx: Extended the one-time 24-hour grace-period documentation to state that access is blocked again afterward until upgrade or monthly reset, the warning does not reappear, and data is retained while queries are blocked.

277-277: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low value

Fix the repeated sentence opening in the deletion steps.

Steps 1 to 3 do not all start with the same word, but the LanguageTool hint flags three successive sentences that start with "Open". Reword Line 277 so the steps read more clearly. For example, start with "Choose the delete option in Settings". This also removes the ambiguity of the pronoun "its".

Also, the step does not name the Vercel delete control. The PR objectives list this label as an open question. Confirm the label in the Vercel UI and use the exact text.

✏️ Proposed rewording
-3. Open its **Settings** and choose the option to delete the database, then confirm.
+3. In the database **Settings**, choose the option to delete the database, then confirm.

Applied CodeRabbit's step 3 rewording (ad6f806): it no longer starts with a third "Open" or uses "its". The exact label of Vercel's delete control is still unverified, so the step stays generic. If you know the button text, please add it.
