Advance lockstep versions, internal workspace pins, the lockfile, and the bundled platform skill stamp using pnpm bump-version. Keep the engine and Compute package versions unchanged. Build, typecheck, lint, versioning tests, CLI/wrapper tests, skill packaging, and release conformance pass. Conformance retains main's existing engine 0.4.0/0.6.0 transition exceptions. Known local verification failure: pnpm exec turbo run test --concurrency=1 fails packages/cli-engine/tests/clack-prompts.test.ts, "consent with a token: a wrong answer re-prompts instead of failing", after 5000 ms on macOS. The focused test reproduces on the pre-bump branch at b50b587, so this release-only diff leaves the existing failure for coordinated review.

Prepare the coordinated CLI release from
8.0.0-rc.15to8.0.0-rc.16. Main now includes the reviewed and merged plugin login guidance in #281, along with the other changes accumulated since the previous release.Leave this PR unmerged until the team has reviewed and tested the release. Merging it triggers publication under
latest; auto-merge is not enabled.Changes
Why
A dedicated release PR gives maintainers a single coordination point before publication, following the versioning procedure. The desktop Prisma plugin still waits for an exact published CLI version and fresh-user acceptance before activating its new onboarding.
Validation and coordination
0.4.0to0.6.0: Composer CLI and ORM toolchain still peer0.4.0, and the installed trees contain both versions. The existing exceptions require follow-up family releases peering0.6.0; this PR does not add or widen those exceptions.packages/cli-engine/tests/clack-prompts.test.ts→consent with a token: a wrong answer re-prompts instead of failingat the 5,000 ms timeout. The same focused test fails before the bump atb50b587, so this is not introduced by the version diff. Reproduce withpnpm --filter @prisma/cli-engine exec vitest run tests/clack-prompts.test.ts(Node 24.16.0, pnpm 11.6.0, macOS). Other executed engine tests passed; the release still needs team review of this result.
