Why

Node.js released security updates on 2026-10-21 (advisory); the patched 22.x release is 22.23.4 (Brotli decoder OOB write CVE-2026-111497, TLS hostname bypass CVE-2026-106069, and others).

The workflows already float to the latest 22.x, so this mainly makes the minimum explicit and keeps CI consistent with the other projects. Node only runs at build/test time here; the app runs on Hermes.

Changes

  • .github/workflows/ci.yml, android-apk.yml, ios-unsigned.yml: node-version: 22 → 22.23.4

Not addressed

npm audit still reports two high advisories with no upstream fix yet:

  • node-forge@1.4.0 (GHSA-86w9-cpqp-85rv) via expo → @expo/cli; 1.4.0 is the latest release
  • braces@3.0.3 via jest → micromatch
Both are build/test-time only and not bundled into the app.

Align CI with the October 2026 Node.js security release (22.23.4), which fixes a Brotli decoder OOB write (CVE-2026-111497) and TLS hostname verification bypasses. Node only runs at build/test time here.
