I'm kind of not really a fan of special-casing all the possible suffixes. We may accept -unstable now, but there's stuff like -alpha, -beta, -rc, -pre, etc etc. I'll try to think of a proper way to actually handle this.

<version>-unstable-<date> is a special Nixpkgs convention FYI. Possibly worth making an exception for as they indicate packages that are not from tags, but from revisions.
