On a live USB, Settings opened fast but Themes opened from Settings slowly - the latter took some seven seconds or so. I wondered what was going on, because there was no busy pointer or indeed anything to indicate that something was in the offing. I know that USB is slow. Also, the computer at issue (see below) is slow. Still: for scenarios such as these, showing a busy pointer seems needful. And/or perhaps you could optimise the opening of the themes window.
System Reports showed no crashes and no problems except that some multimedia codecs were not installed. A glance through the syslog revealed no problems.
The system
Linux Mint 22[.0] - admittedly. I have not yet tested with a current Live USB.
ThinkPad X230
Intel i5-3310M (dual core)
SATA III SSD.
EDIT: the second time I opened Themes, so doing was much faster.
