Make alpha the default release channel with vYYYY.M.REVISION-alpha tags and GitHub prereleases. Keep Homebrew and Scoop publishing the current alpha, and pin the discovery controller to the same tag as the runner.

Accept alpha identities in runner policies, build stamping, and the generated Application schema. Compare an alpha below the stable version with the same calendar fields; keep numeric revision ordering and publication race protection. Update install examples and maintainer docs.

Validation: just check, GoReleaser v2.18.0 configuration and full snapshot with artifact verification, shellcheck for changed scripts, workflow parsing with actionlint -shellcheck='', and alpha CLI/version validation. Regression coverage exercises alpha tag creation, prior-run gating, version ordering, image pinning, and package metadata.
