@thatrobotdev Thanks for your PR but unfortunately we won't be accepting this, and I'm going to close it out |

No worries, @subatoi, thanks for taking a look. Would a smaller PR that just adds the missing period to the Linux sentence be welcome? Or, if GitHub Desktop has no plans to support Linux, would you prefer removing the Linux section or saying clearly that Linux support isn’t planned? Happy to open whichever is most useful. |

@thatrobotdev Thanks for your understanding. You're welcome to open a PR to add the missing period, but I can't speak to GitHub's plans for any given release in this repo, I'm afraid. You're always welcome to open a community discussion under https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions |

Thanks, @subatoi! I've opened #46849 with just the missing period. For anyone who lands here looking for Linux support in GitHub Desktop, the tracking issue is desktop/desktop#1525. I couldn't find an existing community discussion about it, so that issue might be the best place to follow updates for now. |
Why:
Closes: N/A (no existing issue)
The Linux tab of "Installing GitHub Desktop" only says "Linux is not yet supported", with no ending period and no next step for readers. Linking to the Linux support request in the
desktop/desktoprepository gives Linux users a place to follow its status. What's being changed (if available, include any code snippets, screenshots, or gifs):
In
