[External Plugin]: vidbyte-memory #6001

Open

Description

@cerredz

Plugin name

vidbyte-memory

Short description

Memory that learns from your corrections. Each correction becomes a slim fact, a pytest test and a git commit in your own repo, and a Stop hook keeps the agent from ending a turn while tests fail, feedback is unhandled or memory is uncommitted. No API key, no database, no service.

Additional notes for reviewers

The plugin root is the repository root, with an Agent Plugins 1.0 plugin.json there. It ships seven skills under skills/. install-memory is the onboarding skill: when the user asks, it runs scripts/install.py (Python standard library only) on their repo. The installer shows a dry-run plan first, never overwrites existing files, records every write with a backup, and has an uninstall command. For Copilot it writes an agentStop hook to .github/hooks/vidbyte-memory.json. That hook runs scripts/guard.py, which does nothing in a repo without memory/MAP.md.

Nothing is collected or sent anywhere. The only network call is the skill cloning this pinned release tag when it is not already running from a clone. See PRIVACY.md and SECURITY.md in the repo.
