GitHub announced that the macos-latest label in GitHub Actions will migrate to macOS 26 starting June 15, 2026.

This pins our macOS runners to macOS 15 explicitly by replacing:

  • macos-latestmacos-15
  • macos-latest-largemacos-15-large
  • macos-latest-xlargemacos-15-xlarge

macOS 15 will continue to be supported for at least another year. When we are ready to migrate to macOS 26 we can do so deliberately.

Only .github/workflows and .github/actions files were modified.
