GitHub announced that the
macos-latestlabel in GitHub Actions will migrate to macOS 26 starting June 15, 2026.This pins our macOS runners to macOS 15 explicitly by replacing:
macos-latest→macos-15macos-latest-large→macos-15-largemacos-latest-xlarge→macos-15-xlargemacOS 15 will continue to be supported for at least another year. When we are ready to migrate to macOS 26 we can do so deliberately.
