What's new
The GitHub Action now defaults to a pinned stock OpenCode V2 build, with
latestresolving to that pin without a network lookup. V2 installs verify recorded digests and fail closed, while explicit V1 pins remain available for rollback; V1 session history is imported before the first V2 prompt, and V2 writes to separate cache and S3 keys. The first run fails before prompting or saving if that bounded import cannot complete. The change also updates V2 setup expectations:
auth-jsonaccepts API-key entries, and Action-managed permission settings are stripped fromopencode-config. Runtime diagnostics now bound and re-issue session-wait calls, log polling fallback only on errors, and record a single release-verdict line. The wiki documents the separate V1/V2 execution paths and the Action's default switch, including that the workspace image retains its independent V1 default. #2024 #2023Full changelog

What's new
OpenCode V2 is now available as an opt-in execution backend for Action runs; V1 remains the default. V2 streams and verifies turn completion before accepting a run as finished, while continuing to cancel interactive forms and reject permission requests.
The Action now also drains owned child sessions and background shells before release, then confirms shutdown before saving or publishing results. If work ownership, quiescence, or server exit cannot be confirmed—or a prompt send is uncertain—the run withholds persistence and publication rather than risk incomplete state or duplicate work. #2019
