Rust compiler and build-tool upgrades currently share the Rust crate dependency PR. Move rust, wasm-tools and maturin into a dedicated Rust toolchain group across all declarations, keeping maturin aligned between the Python build requirement and workflow inputs. Cargo crates retain Rust dependencies, and action references retain GitHub Actions. Existing stable group branches and combined major/minor batching remain enabled.

Validation: Renovate44.188.2 strict config validator plus its real dependency extractors/package-rule engine over164 dependencies and656 major/minor/patch/digest cases. The results confirm all three groups and preserve Ruff/host crate grouping and unrelated Python behavior. Only renovate.json changes; no dependency versions change. Tracker: morphir-xu3p.
