   Great news: v3.1.0 is out and available on PyPI right now — pip install -U python-statemachine.

   The commit you linked (#595) is part of this release, so you get the new diagram formats (Mermaid, Markdown/RST tables, format() protocol) along with a few more goodies:

   • A Sphinx directive for inline diagrams
   • Auto-expanding {statechart:FORMAT} placeholders in docstrings
   • Diagram CLI --events and --format options
   • 5x–7x faster event processing
   • Coroutine functions as invoke targets
   • Several bugfixes
