… the morning retrospective merged, 37 and the audit waiting on a push, the day's 22 lessons (@orchestrator)

Post-merge check of #235 (26b, exact land-cover class fractions per
triangle): order held, red and green separated, 621 net lines against the
estimate of 420 with the reviewer's measured reasons, @Perf's evidence
read, no persona out of role. One line each for #233 and #234. Increment
37 checked as finished, unmerged work (design to approval 3 h 41, waiting
on the push since 12:15Z). The generality audit noted as existing.

Deviations judged, all the main session's: seven review rounds closed on
the reviewer's wording under the morning's P1 (37 design round 2 went past
wording into a design sentence and a test-case spec); local time written
as UTC in section 14 and in this check's brief; an unpushed prose branch
merged into the product branch with no actor in the subject; the dequeue
of #235 happened 8 min 34 before #233 merged, not after, and went
unnoticed for 49 of its 52 minutes. Two reviewer heredoc refusals are not
false positives by the rule's letter; the shape that passes is proposed.

Lessons 1 to 22 each given a disposition. The morning's P1 to P6: P1
applied in practice seven times, none landed in text. Rule text 10,935
words, +0 today; cut proposed -185. Proposals P1 (reworded), P7 (times
from date -u or git), P8 (a queue watcher after gh pr merge), P9 (no
governed path inside a heredoc), P10 (load average before a timing run).

…nned at c317c7e, the gate's one finding (@orchestrator)

The citation gate found the retrospective's one unpinned cite after the
first commit; fixed in this commit rather than an amend (a history rewrite
needs a fresh yes). Section 4, lesson 7, says so.

…ix wordings and two suggestions, the round recorded; the citation gate skips full-path cites (@orchestrator)

@Reviewer's pre-push round on c317c7e..1d3fb3b verified every timestamp,
LOC figure, rule size, disposition and citation and asked six wordings,
each re-checked here before it was applied:

1. D6 and the lead-time row: `gh pr merge 235` ran at 10:29:51Z
   (transcript); GitHub's auto_merge_enabled event is 10:36:10Z
(gh api issues/235/timeline); "70 min" is 64 min from auto-merge
   enabled to merged 11:39:51Z.
2. D7: dbc77f3 11:04:32Z to 2a871c5 11:42:48Z is 38 min, not 48
   (git log -1 --format=%ci).
3. Title, intro, section 1, section 3: increment 37 was pushed as #236
at 14:38:03Z and queued 14:47:09Z (gh pr view 236), before this
file's first commit f4ebb3e at 14:43Z. "Waiting on a push" dropped
for 37; "pushed 14:38Z, 2 h 23 on the push" written; the claims are
dated 14:43Z. The reviewer's lesson is lesson 23: a claim about an
unmerged item carries the time it was true.
4. Lesson 7: gates_after_commit.py gates the worktree the commit line's
   cd or git -C names (gates_after_commit.py@c317c7e4:77-87, :111-131)
and did catch this file's PRINCIPLES.md cite; 2026-10-11 P2 is the
narrower step() check of a joined relative path. Reworded.
5. Section 1 row for 37: "section 10" is section 9
   (37-mcp-server.md@33061c0f:655, before the ## 10 heading at :659).
6. D1: the morning's P1 (2026-10-12-merges-35-36-docs.md@c317c7e4:
250-253) says "wording fixes"; the verbatim/type/invariant phrasing
   is this file's P1, so "P1 below".

Suggestions taken: the spawn at 14:24:39Z (transcript); the grep for
"recording-commit practice" now names its trees: two files on c317c7e,
plus 37's file on worktree-mcp-server and the audit's on
worktree-generality-audit (four on origin/master at 5d2e706, after #236
merged 14:56:10Z and #237 merged 14:57:17Z).

Review section at the end records the round, pinned at 1d3fb3b with
the file's full worktree path, and one finding from verifying the gate
by planting: check_citations.py never reads a cite whose path starts
with "/" (tools/check_citations.py@c317c7e4:62-64), so the six
full-path cites were not checked (a planted :9135 passed; a planted
relative :9077 failed at once). 251 such cites in 20 files under docs/
on c317c7e have never been checked. Proposal P11 in the handback.

…eview section no longer reads as a citation (@orchestrator)

The gate's own finding: the Review paragraph quoted the deliberately
broken cite from the planting check verbatim, and check_citations.py
read it as a real cite to line 9077 of the hook. Reworded to describe
the plant without a path@rev:line token. A second commit, not an amend:
a history rewrite needs Ola's yes.

Also the lesson behind this commit: `gate | grep | tail && git commit`
commits on tail's exit status, not the gate's. Run the gate to a file,
test its exit code, then commit.
