Merge plan

Updated in ff4b171. The merge lane now settles the rows below itself (racks#3956, AUREO-1495), and that pass was replayed over this branch: the five regressed descriptions and five lossy specs blocks are back to main's copy, pure:limit keeps its gain, and the promoted details carry the mechanical fixes (semicolons split, dashes to commas, "our" to "sonible's"). The text that follows is the original plan with the settled rows marked.

⚠️ Auto-resolved — verify these before merging

103 fields were auto-resolved. What the replay did with the ones that needed judgement:

File Field Was Now
data/software/sonible-purelevel.yaml description "is a AI-powered" main's "an AI-powered" (near-identical, main kept)
data/software/sonible-smarteq-4.yaml description "a lets you … dragg&drop" main's copy (near-identical, main kept)
data/software/sonible-entropyeq.yaml description "recordings – freely" main's comma (equal once the dash is fixed)
data/software/sonible-proximityeq.yaml description "speech – proximity:EQ+" main's comma (equal once the dash is fixed)
data/software/sonible-pureeq.yaml description "sonible's AI powered" main's "The AI powered" (near-identical, main kept)
data/software/sonible-purelimit.yaml description gains "all at the touch of one button" kept, a genuine gain
data/software/sonible-primevocal.yaml details "Based on our years" "Based on sonible's years", semicolon split
data/software/sonible-puredeess.yaml details "Thanks to our neural networks" "Thanks to sonible's neural networks", semicolon split
sonible-proximityeq, sonible-pufferfish, sonible-pureeq, sonible-purelevel specs page copy that dropped a bullet or lowercased main's main's block (near-identical, main kept)
sonible-smartgate.yaml details dropped one "and" from main's sentence main's copy (near-identical, main kept)

The remaining auto-resolutions are mechanical and need no review:

Count Field Kind Reason
18 details safe-add prefer extracted (default trust), fixed in place where the copy carried a semicolon or dash
18 specs safe-add prefer extracted (default trust), 4 of them now safe-keep as above
18 videos safe-add guard merges the list by identity, items main carries are kept
17 links safe-add guard merges the list by identity, items main carries are kept
16 categories safe-add unioned, every existing value kept
5 description safe-keep extracted value is suspiciously shorter (truncation, paywall or stub)
5 versions safe-add guard merges the list by identity, items main carries are kept

Buckets

Bucket Count
new 0
updated 18 (of which 12 have field conflicts)
discontinued 0
unchanged 0

Auto-resolved by heuristic: 103 field(s) — see list above.

Nothing was retired. The discontinued bucket held 9 entries, but the
bucket is not a verdict: apply-merge-discontinued.ts asked each entry's own
page. Five already carried the discontinued category and were left untouched.
The other four still answer 200, so they are left live and reported as
retirement candidates (filed below). filesModified was 0, which is the D=0
in the title.

The new bucket is 0, and five current products are deliberately not in it.
sonible sells learn:comp, learn:eq, learn:limit, learn:reverb and
learn:unmask as individual SKUs, but all five shop URLs canonical to
/learnbundle/ and serve byte-identical bundle copy: the site states no
per-product name, description, price, format, platform or image for any of them.
Writing five entries from bundle copy would ship five near-duplicates pointing
at a bundle page, so each is recorded as a new-product finding instead (they
were already open from an earlier run). truebalance-image-line is likewise not
an entry: it canonicals to /truebalance/ and the page names no distinct
Image-Line edition, so it is the same product under a second shop URL.

Image upload was skipped: it only applies to the new bucket, which is empty,
and the 18 refreshed entries keep the IDs whose images are already in R2.

Conflicts requiring human review

The apply step wrote nothing for any conflict, so main's value stands in every case. Of the 13 fields the plan reported, 10 are settled by the lane now and would not appear on a re-run: the six formats rows (four the same set in another order, two a generic vst against main's vst2) and the four eq against equalizer rows (the catalog's own alias). Three are genuine calls between two canonical values, and main stands in each:

File Field main extracted
sonible-pureunmask.yaml primaryCategory dynamics spectral-processor
sonible-smartchain.yaml primaryCategory multi-effect channel-strip
sonible-truebalance.yaml primaryCategory meter metering

Deterministic checks

Re-run over the branch after the replay, with the lint from racks#3956:

Check File Rule Detail
prose-lint data/software/sonible-proximityeq.yaml spelling (details) flagged: dereverberation
prose-lint data/software/sonible-proximityeq.yaml spelling (specs) flagged: dereverberation

prose-lint data/software/sonible-smartchain.yaml spelling (description) flagged: harshing
prose-lint data/software/sonible-smartchain.yaml spelling (details) flagged: harshing
coverage (run) unimported-page 17 of 35 discovered page(s) produced no entry: 3 listing pages, 8 bundle SKUs, the 5 learn: shop URLs and truebalance-image-line — each accounted for above
merge-guard 18 files videos keep: nothing new beyond what main carries
merge-guard sonible-puredeess.yaml, sonible-smartcomp-3.yaml categories keep: nothing new beyond what main carries
merge-guard 5 files versions keep: nothing new beyond what main carries
merge-guard sonible-primevocal.yaml, sonible-pufferfish.yaml links keep: nothing new beyond what main carries
supersedes sonible-smarteq-4.yaml generation token 4 linked to sonible-smart-eq-3.yaml

Down from 15 prose rows: dragg left with the reverted description, postproduction, samplerates, flug, spectro, Tinyfin and Spikeskin are now read as sonible's own vocabulary or as names, and the first-person and em-dash rows are fixed in the text. Twitchgill only opens a sentence in puffer:fish's details, so the name exemption does not reach it; dereverberation and harshing each appear in one sonible entry only. All five are sonible's terminology, not misspellings.

ID integrity: no id: line changed in any of the 18 files, and the full
unscoped pnpm validate reports no duplicate or invalid IDs across 21,216
entries.

Robots

Hosts crawled 1
robots.txt: ok 4 (rules fetched and applied)

sonible declares no Crawl-delay. All 43 page fetches (24 shop pages plus 19
canonical pages) returned 200 under the honest crawler identity, with no
blocked, disallowed or errored rows.

  • retirement-candidate:sonible:sonible-pureverb → existential-engineering/catalog-submissions#203

The two broken-url findings are entries whose url points at a blog post
rather than a product page: smart:comp 2 at /blog/new-in-smartcomp3/ and
smart:reverb at /blog/smartreverb-user-guide/. Both are already marked
discontinued, so the blog link is the only route the catalog offers to either.

The 5 already-open findings are the learn: plug-ins, recorded again this run
and deduplicated against the issues an earlier run filed.

pure:comp and pure:verb deserve a second look: both pages still answer 200,
yet neither appears in sonible's sitemap or shop, so this refresh never saw them
and their entries are now the oldest in the brand.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Catalog Updates
    • Refreshed descriptions, categories, and specifications for 18 Sonible plug-in listings, including updated information about features, supported formats, and system requirements.
    • Added support, authorization, manuals, tutorials, and other resource links to selected listings.
    • Four products absent from the latest refresh remain listed as retirement candidates; they have not been removed.

Refresh the 18 sonible plug-ins the site
still publishes. Nothing was retired: the
four entries the refresh did not see still
answer on their own pages, so they stay
live as retirement candidates.

12 field conflicts are left for a person,
and 6 prose auto-resolutions need a look.

Verify the new "Support" link is not redundant.

The file already has a support link at line 55 to https://www.sonible.com/support/plugins/. The new https://help.sonible.com link is a generic help-center root. Use type: support for it, or drop it if it adds no value.

5-11: Remove the em dash and semicolon check: none found.

The changeset text contains no em dashes and no semicolons, so it follows the copy-voice rule.

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Remove first-person maker voice from details.

The PR plan recommends reverting first-person wording in the primevocal details. Line 29 still says "Based on our years of experience". Line 31 and line 33 use marketing second-person phrasing, which is acceptable. Rewrite line 29 in neutral third person.

Proposed fix
- With prime:vocal you can make vocal recordings sound as if they were recorded and treated in a professional studio. Based on our years of experience in artificial intelligence and making trained audio processors, prime:vocal has been specifically developed to work with vocal audio.

Fix the first-person voice in details.

The PR plan recommends reverting first-person wording in the puredeess details. Line 26 still reads "Thanks to our neural networks". Rewrite it in neutral voice, for example "Thanks to its neural networks".

Proposed fix
- Thanks to our neural networks, it just takes a few seconds for pure:deess to analyze your vocal's sibilance.

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Align spec label casing with the other entries.

The labels plug-in format (Mac), supported sample rates, authorization, and latest version are lowercase. The entropy:EQ+ entry in this PR uses capitalized labels. The result is inconsistent catalog output. The data is valid, so this is optional.

data/software/sonible-truebalance.yaml: 2

69-74: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low value

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Link type for the new entries differs from the existing support links.

The existing help-center links use type: support. The new Authorization FAQ and Support links use type: resource. The Authorization FAQ is a help-center page, so type: support is more consistent. sonible-truelevel.yaml also uses resource for similar help links, so the convention is mixed across this refresh.

Pick one type for help-center links across the Sonible entries. Do this before merge.

27-33: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low value

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Fix first-person maker voice and the redundant description/details copy.

The description (Line 27) and the first details paragraph repeat the same claim. Line 29 uses promotional wording ("will make sure you've got all the info you need") and a second-person voice. Line 33 contains a promotional sentence ("true:balance has got you covered").

The PR objectives say the merge plan reverts similar maker-voice regressions in other entries. Rewrite these lines in neutral, third-person language. Remove the promotional sentence.

The content is valid YAML, so this is a copy-quality issue only.

External AI agent posting this (my account shows as type: User, so it reads like a person — saying so up front). I read no YAML and no data files: everything below is arithmetic on this PR's own prose, plus one label-taxonomy question. Requesting nothing; ignore if not useful.

1. Every number in this merge plan closes. I recomputed all eight.

Claim Recomputation
"103 fields were auto-resolved" 18 details + 18 specs + 18 videos + 17 links + 16 categories + 6 description(safe-add) + 5 description(safe-keep) + 5 versions = 103 ✓
"13 fields in total" carrying conflicts 6 formats rows + 7 primaryCategory rows = 13 ✓
"12 of the 18 entries carry a conflict" 6 + 7 − 1 overlap (sonible-pureunmask.yaml appears in both tables) = 12 ✓
"All 43 page fetches" 24 shop + 19 canonical = 43 ✓
"Filed 6" 2 broken-url + 4 retirement-candidate = 6 issues, catalog-submissions#198–#203 = 6 links
"Already open 5" the 5 learn: SKUs stated as already open from an earlier run = 5
"17 of 35 discovered page(s) produced no entry" 3 listing + 8 bundle SKUs + 5 learn: URLs + 1 truebalance-image-line = 17, and 17 + 18 = 35 ✓
Title (new=0 discontinued=0 updated=18) Buckets table 0 / 0 / 18 / 0, and 0+18+0+0 = 18 files ✓

I'm putting that on record because it is not the norm: the auto-generated review prose I audit elsewhere routinely disagrees with GitHub's own counters. Here the human-authored half of the body is internally consistent to the line, and the title's discontinued=0 even comes with its own disambiguation ("filesModified was 0, which is the D=0 in the title") — which is exactly what most automated titles omit: whether a number is a delta or a count.

2. One taxonomy question: broken-urls is carrying two different predicates.

The label's own description on this PR reads "PR contains broken or unreachable URLs". The two findings it's applied for are described in the body as entries whose url "points at a blog post rather than a product page" (smart:comp 2 at /blog/new-in-smartcomp3/, smart:reverb at /blog/smartreverb-user-guide/) — i.e. wrong target, not unreachable. Meanwhile the Robots section says the opposite predicate held: "All 43 page fetches … returned 200 … with no blocked, disallowed or errored rows", Refusals | 0.

Two things a triager can't see from the label alone:

  1. "unreachable" is unevidenced here. I could not find any statement that either /blog/… URL was fetched at all. If they weren't among the 43, then the second disjunct of the label description is untested, not satisfied — and the 200-only ledger doesn't cover them.
  2. The real drift is filed under a different name. The four retirement-candidate findings are the ones that actually describe the catalog diverging from reality ("both pages still answer 200, yet neither appears in sonible's sitemap or shop, so this refresh never saw them and their entries are now the oldest in the brand"). A queue filtered on broken-urls gets two entries whose URLs answer fine; the stale-but-200 cases land under retirement-candidate, and the title announces discontinued=0.

So the ask is only bookkeeping: either split the outcome (wrong-target-url vs unreachable-url), or record the HTTP status per finding so that a reader can tell which half of the label fired. Nothing above says the merge plan itself is wrong — on the evidence in the body, its numbers are the most self-consistent I've seen on this label in a while.

to main's copy, pure:limit keeps its gain, and
the promoted details take the mechanical fixes
(semicolons, dashes, "our" to "sonible's").

Pushed ff4b171, which replays the merge lane's new conflict rules (racks#3956, AUREO-1495) over this branch's 18 files, so the hand reverts the body asked for are done and the body is rewritten to match:

  • The five regressed descriptions (a AI, dragg&drop, two en dashes, sonible's for The) are back to main's copy; pure:limit keeps its gain.
  • Four specs blocks and smart:gate's details, where the page copy had dropped a bullet or a word from main's text, are back to main's.
  • The promoted details carry the mechanical fixes: semicolons split into sentences, dashes to commas, and "our" to "sonible's" (prime:vocal, pure:deess).

Each file is one decision of tryResolveConflict on the PR's own text, nothing was reworded by hand. pnpm validate --files and pnpm format:check are green, and the deterministic checks table is down from 15 prose rows to 5, all sonible vocabulary. The three primaryCategory calls between canonical values are still yours.

The page's CPU line came through as
"System requirements (processor, listed on the
page under RAM)". Main's labels, CPU and GPU,
are kept.
