This are the more obvious changes, to start.

This removes the most obvious metions to gitlab. Althoug some references
to code will need to be rewrite or replaced by github links after they
got migrated to github.

There are still quite a few other ESS references, notably in

  • src/reference/iocsh.md
  • CONTRIBUTING.md
  • src/conf.py
  • src/developer/recipes.md
  • src/user/iocs-and-modules.md
  • src/_static/custom.css
  • src/developer/building-modules.md

Some of these are maybe a bit more thorny, but several of them are just "ESS EPICS Environment (e3)"

submitting them to the
[EPICS modules database](https://epics-controls.org/resources-and-support/modules/)
for community awareness.

I wonder if it's worth keeping some version of the second half of this (where to submit modules) or if that's maybe not super relevant.

I can also approve this though if you really want to do this in small steps.

As the previous comment mentioned, there are of course more mentions of ESS. But I'm happy to approve this for now. Baby steps!
