pi's extension loader aliases host-provided packages to the running host's own copies, and warns when they are declared as regular dependencies — installed copies can resolve outside that aliasing and load a duplicate (and stale) runtime module set.

Moves @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent, @earendil-works/pi-tui, and typebox to peerDependencies in the root manifest. dedent stays a regular dependency (not host-provided). packages/extension/package.json is dev-only and never installed by pi, so it is untouched; pnpm's autoInstallPeers keeps workspace dev resolving as before (lockfile unchanged).

Verified: pnpm pack --dry-run and scripts/check-pack.ts pass.

Hi @dannote , is there any update on this PR? I am running into the exact same issue and this fix would be really helpful. Could we get this reviewed and merged?

@1ata1 Hi! I need some time to adapt everything to Pi 1.0. Hopefully, I’ll have an update later this week.
