The owner retired the old support VM evaos-support (support-vm-1) on 2026-10-30. It was wiped and repurposed, and no longer has WorldOS tooling, credentials, the Woodpecker agent woodpecker-agent-support, or tailnet access. Local Mac QA has been the default since 2026-08-03.
This PR stops the docs presenting it as a usable QA lane:
Current-tense instructions to use support-vm-1 are replaced with a short retirement sentence pointing at the local Mac lane. The release part-B 5-persona sweep is the exception: its harness was VM-only, so those lines point at Port the release 5-persona sweep and RRI rollup off the retired support VM #1822, which tracks the local port (AGENTS.md, WorldOS-RUNBOOK.md, WorldOS-OPERATING-GOAL.md, VISION.md, docs/OPERATIONS.md, docs/KIMI-ONBOARDING.md, docs/MODEL-TIERING-STRATEGY.md, docs/RUNBOOK-INDEX.md, docs/qa/TEST_MATRIX.md, qa/QA_TOOLS.md, qa/SCORECARD.md, and the worldos-dev / worldos-latency-forensics skills).
WorldOS-GUI-RUNBOOK.md "Support VM lane" and the worldos-dev "VM GATE SWEEP" section are retitled as historical (retired, do not follow), matching the existing GEX44 retirement pattern; the connection bullet in the runbook is removed. Dated audit records and past evidence paths are left as they are.
qa/release_gate.sh: the low-RAM message no longer suggests the support VM (a one-line string change; qa/test_velocity_gates.sh passes).

📝 Summary
Priority Level: P4/NIT — No actionable findings established; optional and not required for merge.
The supplied summary describes documentation updates that mark the support VM lane as retired and direct QA work to the local Mac. It also states that VM-referencing code and tests remain unchanged.
No current review findings or usable diff output were provided. I cannot confirm that the documentation changes contain no defects. Test results and completion status are unavailable.
Confidence: 60% — based on the supplied change summaries, not a verified source diff.
The documentation marks support-vm-1 retired on 2026-10-30, routes heavy persona/backend and 5-persona QA sweeps to the local Mac, and directs explicitly remote runs to GitHub CI. Some former VM procedures remain as historical context; VM preflight and release-evidence requirements are removed from current QA guidance.
This documentation update retires the support VM lane, but several active instructions and release-gate messages still send agents to the retired host. Fix those stale routes, and resolve the retired preflight requirement in the release-readiness path, before relying on these docs for release validation.

Remove the retired VM from the release checklist.
Line 29 routes the 5-persona sweep to the local Mac, but Lines 41 and 47 still require a “5-persona VM sweep + RRI.” The full release checklist can still send operators to an unavailable lane. Replace both references with the local-Mac or GitHub-CI route.

Update the release requirements in the “a RELEASE” row and “Tags vs releases”

Remove the retired support-preflight gate from the active RRI path.
qa/QA_TOOLS.md directs heavy sweeps to the local Mac or GitHub CI, but qa/release_readiness.py still requires --support-preflight-json whenever persona results are combined with --handoff-json. Missing or stale support-preflight evidence then blocks the native and image-render gates. This condition is not limited to VM artifacts.
Update the RRI scripts and this document together, or restrict the requirement to explicitly historical VM handoffs.

WorldOS-GUI-RUNBOOK.md:229 Major · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Replace the stale VM re-run route at line 251.
The review comment cites line 229, but that line contains the RRI scorer requirements. The stale instruction is on line 251, in the active gate-sweep procedure. It tells agents to re-run a harness-contaminated partial RRI "via the VM lane." The support VM retired on 2026-10-30, so an agent that follows this line can send the re-run to a host that no longer has WorldOS tooling or credentials. The retirement notice at line 282 does not cover this instruction, because it appears below the instruction and under a different heading.
Keep the historical support VM section at line 280 unchanged. Update only the active route on line 251.

The support VM's part-B 5-persona harness is VM-only, so "run locally" was
not yet true. Route the duo A/B to the local Mac, mark the remaining VM
material historical, and point the release sweep at #1822. Drop the
retired-VM fallback from release_gate.sh's low-RAM message, and keep the
box address out of the new lines.
Dispositions for the review findings that could not be posted inline (fixes in c3ed193):

Disposition
CodeRabbit: docs/qa/TEST_MATRIX.md:41-47 still requires a "5-persona VM sweep"
Fixed. Both rows now say "5-persona sweep + RRI", and the cost table row points to #1822 rather than claiming a local lane.
CodeRabbit: qa/QA_TOOLS.md:56-59, release_readiness.py still requires --support-preflight-json
Accepted follow-up, tracked in #1822. This is release-gate code, not docs, and this PR does not change it. QA_TOOLS now says the requirement still applies until #1822 lands.
CodeRabbit: WorldOS-GUI-RUNBOOK.md:251, PARTIAL RRI re-run "via the VM lane"
Fixed. The line now says to re-run on a clean lane, notes that the VM lane is retired, and points to #1822. The historical section is unchanged.
CodeRabbit (unverified): MD022 blank line after the historical heading in .claude/skills/worldos-dev/SKILL.md
Fixed.

Maintainer Analysis
Changed behavior:
AGENTS.md marks support-vm-1 retired, directs QA to the local Mac, and preserves historical evidence requirements.
Affected invariants:
Mac-only application proof and release-evidence requirements remain intact.
Evidence:
Reviewed the supplied diff and PR-head AGENTS.md.
docs/OPERATIONS.md and qa/QA_TOOLS.md already document the same retirement and local QA routing.
Limitations:
Static review only; no project tests, builds, or app validation performed.
Git diff verification failed in the read-only environment; review used the supplied diff.
External retirement issue was not verified.
No-finding rationale: No actionable defect was substantiated. The documentation update agrees with existing operational guidance and changes no executable code.
Risk Taxonomy
No finding categories.
Validation and Proof
1 required validation/proof recommendation(s) selected from changed files.
required: Unity editor or Play Mode smoke - WorldOS repo profile implies Unity runtime risk. Proof: Unity editor smoke; Play Mode log; scene/prefab screenshot or recording.
Proof status: missing - 1 required validation/proof recommendation(s) missing from PR metadata.
Stale: all 5 inline findings were fixed in c3ed193 and CodeRabbit confirmed each fix in its thread. The follow-up NEXT ACTION finding was fixed in 1a82f0e. The 3 outside-diff findings are dispositioned in the PR comment (two fixed, one tracked in #1822). CodeRabbit's re-review is rate limited.
