Design record for slice 4a. The definition is the source of truth in the site repo; CI renders it into the existing file config sources and diffs.

  • REVIEW Replace the mock with a high-fidelity one realising the context spine (1A) #6 resolved — render-into-existing-sources over GitCatalogSource; the latter deferred until on-edge ref pinning earns its keep.
  • Records the two folded-in decisions: the definition lives with the site (deck's "Git-backed definition repositories"), and the gate is check-only (render + diff), not regenerate-and-commit.
  • Updates the ch. 13 roadmap position: slice 4a done; 4b (Kubernetes renderer) demand-gated on the k8s test chart; then slice 5 (UI).

Implemented in bottling-company-test + edgecommons (core) companion PRs.

The definition is the source of truth in the site repo; CI renders it into
the existing file config sources and diffs. Resolves REVIEW #6
(render-into-existing-sources over GitCatalogSource), records the two
folded-in decisions (definition-with-the-site, check-only gate), and
updates the ch.13 roadmap position: slice 4a done, 4b (k8s renderer)
demand-gated, then slice 5 UI.

Superseded by #4. Slice 4a's config-adoption loop is subsumed into the deployment-profiles epic record (one topology + per-platform profiles, REVIEW #6 resolved there). Closing rather than merging.
