Five independent first-time-user runs hit the same walls: the container command needs credentials the page never set, the installer stalls at a sudo password on cloud users, nothing showed how to connect, the 752 workaround read a file that didn't exist, and cleanup had no commands. RC1 testers (two hands-on runs on clean Ubuntu/Rocky hosts, three source reviews) hit gaps on the release-candidate page. #88 cut that page down to "release candidates have ended", so these fixes would have been lost. The ones that still apply to v1.0-0 now go on the 1.0 pages:
sudo, it callssudo -v. That asks for a password on cloud images whose default user has passwordless sudo, because the%sudorule still applies.sudo sh documentdb-install.shavoids it. There is also an unattended example; undersudothe password file must be root-owned, or the installer rejects it.documentdb-local-resetships indocumentdb-common, so the reset has to run before the purge.db.version()returns the MongoDB compatibility version, not DocumentDB's.pg_isreadyasdocumentdbevery 30 s with no database set, so PostgreSQL logsFATAL: database "documentdb" does not exist.
