To do:

• Port JS to TS and keep viewer.js as a compile target. Includes formatting, lint config, etc.
• Splice reusable web components out of the viewer. Isolate component-specific TS and CSS.
• Add dynamic CSS properties for overall styling of components, if shadow DOMs allow it.
• Isolate reusable utility functions, independent of the components.
• NPM repo and release prep.
• Examples of sub-component use: vanilla via CDN, in React via NPM, etc.

To try:

• How far can we push regular CSS styling of XML for the Reading View, for example, instead of JS DOM transformations?
