I'm Denis. I write Go backends and live in Paris.
At work I build pricing and caching services on AWS. Most of my time goes into code that already exists and has stopped working well: a cache pipeline that kept hitting quotas, a rule engine that allocated far more than it needed, services that were hard to debug because nothing was traced.
Outside work I build things with French public data. Building permits, the company register, association filings, legal texts, public spending. It's free and there's a lot of it, and not many people use it.
It all runs on three machines at home. A mini PC and two ARM boards running k3s, behind a Cloudflare tunnel. Running that has taught me a lot.
Most of my repos here are private. Some hold data I'd rather not republish.
